SFxT General Discussion Thread rev.B

And can you prove that the lion’s share of those requests aren’t spammed by a couple hundred of people since SFxTK’s announcement?

And what if her profile being raised by the Kuma outfit (well mainly due to the loloutrage) leads to her being one of 6 new characters in an Arcade update? I’ll say she has a good shot in being a cameo in an ending and a couple of ending cameo characters in MVC3 ended up in UMVC3… Ghostrider… Iron Fist…

Yes played Zero 3, was the first SF game I took semi seriously.

Quoting for irony.

Can any Mika fan tell me why she deserves a spot in the 25 (or thereabouts) SF characters that have made the roster out of the entire frachise? And without mentioning requests which can be inflated by a select group of people and length of time out as reasons.

Look out it without bias and you’ll know the answer. PIcking a niche and unexpected character just for the sake of it is never the right thing to do… I’ll say Elena took her spot as far as characters in one game we want to bring out again goes… and the heavy amount of grapplers in this game also hurt her.

I personally want to see what Mika’s moves would like outside of Zero 3; her main 360 can be mashed for extra damage and I can’t for the life of me remember what her 720 is lol.

Which reminds me…if Elena’s in, having her wear clothes will be…odd.

I could, if I cared enough to go that far back and collect all the unique requests.
Unfortunately, doing this doesn’t change anything, and there’s a good chance even your opinion won’t be swayed, so I don’t particularly care enough.
Also I have never taken “Oh but next time maybe” as a good answer, I’ve been getting that answer since vanilla SFIV, this time I just get a bear with skimpy clothes on top of it.

Aside from the fact that her playstyle is unique and fun?

Well, Youtube can be huge place for fans of characters. If only they migrated to Ono’s twitter page, then we’ll be seeing MUCH more Mika posts from different people.

  1. She has only been in 1 game.
  2. She is over the top and unique.
  3. She has lots of fans.
  4. It’s time to take out characters that appear game after game but also not a SF staple.
  5. The development team likes her. Including other people in Capcom. Someone in the MVC dev team actually wanted Mika for MVC3.

its always nice to see your typical idiot insulting other members for wanting a character that they enjoy to play with just because its a female character, extra points because this one has a female character avatar

Care to explain how I insulted him for wanting a female character? (and no the doujin comment isn’t that)How about instead of putting on your captain save a ho cape you step up your reading comprehension. Hilarious that some idiot thinks I hate on people wanting female characters, lmao stop copying and pasting out of your book of responses for people who hate anime games and females.

I don’t get the meaning of this.

I am sad for lack of MvC3 Mika

Note the lack of discussion and instead picking someone out of the group because he took it out of context.

Nah I wouldn’t want Mika to be in MVC. But I really want her in this more than core SF games. Because this is a celebration of both series. Best time to bring out unique chars that people love.

What’s the chances of her in DLC???

I just like her as a whole so I wouldn’t care what game she’s in as long as she’s usable, keeps her moves, and the game isn’t horrible.

Take the chance of any characters being DLC, then divide that by ten, because Ono can’t convince his battle director to put his favorite characters anywhere.

1/ Is no reason to include someone in a best 25 and if it was how many slots do you give to characters like this? Already Hugo and Elena have only been in 1 SF game and Poison is the new fresh inclusion, basically Capcom’s way of cheating and throwing in a new character for a crossover as well as meeting fan demand.
2/ Other characters are over the top and unique as well, she’s not a unique snowflake in this regard.
3/ Other characters has lots of fans, I’m sure if Mika was in this game she’ll have a lot of posts in her SRK thread, more than Sagat’s 14 posts and Cammy’s 33 but I’m sure we know who would be the least played out of those 3…
4/ And who would you suggest to take out of this game than?
5/ Obviously they don’t like her enough, and that MVC3 comment looks like a troll.

Anyway back to 4

Official Capcom

Staples - Ryu, Ken, Chunli, Guile, Cammy, Sagat, Dhalsim, Zangief
New Gen - Abel, Poison, Rufus
Throwback - Ibuki, Hugo, Rolento

Teased by Capcom

Staples - Boxer, Claw, Akuma
Throwback - Cody, Guy
New Gen - Juri

Lupinko confirmations

Staples - Dict
Throwback - Elena, Dudley

Who do you want to remove? The officially confirmed 8 staples seem to be untouchables, Akuma? lol, Dict? lol. Boxer? Hell nah… Vega? You do know he has the most active forum on SRK for SFIV characters right?

http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?categories/character-discussion.11/

I honestly think if Mika had a shot of getting in this game than Elena took it. Both are 1 game characters, both have been requested, both were discussed for SFIV though Elena along with Rolento just missed the cut…

After staples, popular characters they’ve already reintroduced with Super as well as their new characters there was only so many spots up for grab…

Edit - Holy fuck 23 already and no Sakura… she better be Elena’s partner… hmm lets work this out… Boxer + Claw, Cody + Guy, Juri + Dict, Akuma by himself, Elena +… fuck I guess it’s Dudley unless more are to come…

He also uses Ken and Blanka in game and for the most part they’ve been ass sans Ken in AE. (and he got nerfed in 2k12 anyway…)

So if you’re unique, you aren’t actually unique because other characters are unique.
Makes sense.

Also, Akuma, or, hell, remove Ken and put Akuma in his place.

lolwut? I’m just saying that other characters are unique as well, why not put in Oro if you want to play the unique card?

So you want them to remove either the second or third most popular character in the franchise? Give this man a CEO position with Capcom immediately.

FWIW I can’t stand Akuma but it would be extremely stupid to not include him in a SF game.

Exactly.
Why would I care if Ken is popular, he’s a shitty character that only existed to make 2 player on the original SF possible.
Also are you kidding? I’d suck Ono off to get Oro in this game, but he’s even less likely than Mika.

Because it’s unrealistic, you might as well be saying I want to win the lotto so I can quit work. Pointing out Ken or Akuma as a way for Mika to get in is just a waste of time. Also as if Capcom would remove a guy character for a female lol…

Like I said before Elena would’ve been her direct competitor for the spot, maybe Poison too. Elena along with Rolento deserved to be in this game the most because being told they just missed the cut and than not making SFxTK would’ve been bullshit. I don’t think Mika was anywhere near as close to getting in as those two, was more just Ono wanted his otaku crush to be in it, clearly he has no pull with his battle director.

Oro as last boss of SF side, after he loses a round he uses both arms, believe.

But this entire discussion is unrealistic and hypothetical because R Mika is already de-confirmed.
I don’t care if the battle Director doesn’t want Mika, I don’t care if a bunch of idiots want Ryu, Ken, AND Akuma in another goddamn SF game, Mika, Oro, dozens of characters are objectively better choices for the game, regardless of the fact that realistically more than 80% of the people who buy the game would whinge their faces off if their precious blonde clone wasn’t in the game.

Also you’re right, game Producers (In the game development phase) actually have very little control over what goes into the game.

I know, but he’ll still get 90% of the blame because he’s the face of the dev team so everyone will act like every decision is down to Ono. When it reality he’s more the guy who makes sure things are running to schedule (project management) as well as the promoter.
