Yep they really had a bad showing at NYCC, even if they explained it decently enough word of mouth spread and it turned into a game of Chinese whispers were things just got worse and worse. The thing is that due to them prioritization Marvel until it’s realizes they have completely fucked over the hype for SFxT. They need to realize this isn’t the same as back in 2010 when they turned the info drip off for Super SFIV to focus on TvC for 2 months. The last info for SSFIV at the time didn’t have an entire community in uproar. It’s stupid to try and protect the sales of something with a peak of 1 million sales while damaging the brand of a 2 million + seller. Let’s face it, if you’re going to buy UMVC3 you already know it, and casual gamers couldn’t give a fuck about UMVC3 when MW3, new Zelda, Skyrim, Uncharted 3 and all those other big hitter games in addition to Batman 2 and Battlefield 3 is about to drop or already out.
I agree to an extend with everything you posted, except #1/2. That shit makes no sense,
If i dont like gems and dont use them, I still have to deal with OTHER people using them against me… so if I dont like X-factor i shouldnt use it? I’ll still have to deal with my opponents using it so I’m just handicapping myself by doing that.
Capcom need to stop being fags about whatever petty info they have hidden atm to troll with in the next Event and get some info flowing. It is getting really irritating to see nothing but nonstop bitching whenever you open a SFxT thread…
Shouldn’t there be an episode on that youtube show…it’s been almost 3 weeks since the last one
EDIT: Also on Ono’s Twitter he presenting a new SFxT build to SCE…think it might have something to do with the PS3 exclusive characters?
Well its normal. He goes to SCE of various country to showcase SFXT. He did it in Germany before. That’s because the primary platform for SFXT in Japan is PS3 unlike in US its XBox.
This is Capcom, the compny that seems to think posting incomplete changelogs during an update is a good thing.
That shit will not be missed. Good riddance.
If you don’t like the game don’t play the game.
Two flame baits in the last two pages. Can we get a mod here?
If you have nothing to add, don’t post.
Not trying to troll here. You can’t have legitimate criticism of a game you’ve never played, so there’s really nothing to be gained by complaining at this point. If it doesn’t sound fun to you, why are you here?
That is a true statement. I see nothing wrong with it.
Also i found some new videos i’ll post them in the media thread in a moment.
They upped lili’s health slighlty it seems.
So we’re only allowed to blindly praise a game? Some people are here because they want to voice their concerns with the game. That’s partially the purpose of a forum. Plus some of the complaints we have are forwarded to the Capcom reps if there’s enough people with the same criticisms. Capcom wants us to voice our opinions, good or bad…so that’s what we’re doing.
“Primary Platform” typically means what system the game is being developed for before being ported to the other, not the system they think it will be most successful on in each region.
No people don’t have to blindly praise a game, but they also don’t have to blindly complain about something they haven’t really experienced. My only problem with gems is that some will be dlc, but I know I won’t buy them anyway so it’s not that big of a deal. People need to understand that capcom wants this game played with gems that is their vision and I doubt they will include a gem-less mode that goes against that vision (Plus how will they make money off dlc gems?) Honestly all I’m seeing is the normal overreaction that happens with every preview of a new game that has little info released.
That’s fine. I’m just not with the whole, “If you don’t like it, don’t talk about it/buy it” mindset.
Don’t put words in my mouth. You shouldn’t do that either for the same reason, you haven’t played it yet, so you don’t fucking know.
If you have concerns or something looks iffy or particularly cool or whatever, that’s fine. Just don’t come in here acting like something is ruining the game when you can’t be sure of anything.
It’s just silly.
I’m glad people are “bitching” about this game, it means they actually gasp care. If we keep putting up with Capcom’s mediocrity, they will think its ok to keep shoveling shit at us. Besides, if it’s ok to say “nice” things about this game, I don’t see why we can’t say “negative” things about it. Everybody doesn’t have to share the same opinions
It’s okay to say negative things. Don’t base your negative shit on fuckin’ guessing.
Capcom is not trying to 50/50 you. Just don’t guess.
Because we don’t know anything about said game. I haven’t seen anyone blindly praising the game. I’ve seen a shitload of moaning, bitching, and “the sky is falling!” in general, though.
All people are saying is to simply wait and see. I assume we’ll get more info in December. They’re talking about possibly cutting Pandora. That should tell you that they are indeed listening.
In short, no one’s saying you can’t bitch about the game. All they’re saying is that you have to know what to bitch about.
(HINT: It’s not about things we don’t know about yet.)
I do think people are overreacting to the gems thing based on limited information. But I don’t know…I think it’s kind of fun.
I’ve said this before, but maybe people making wild assumptions will help. Maybe Capcom can say “OK, we’ll lets make sure we don’t make this game into something that some are fearing.”
If that was the case, they’d just turn the game into Super Turbo, featuring Tekken characters.
I believe that Capcom knows what they’re doing. They’ve been making games longer than anyone in this thread.
They’ll listen to players’ complaints as long as they’re within reason.
