why capcom seems to hate so much giving options to their charcters its beyond me

it would be awesome to have more than one super, especially since some of what i’ve seen look boring as hell.

i remember that post and i agree with his sentiment though, i also like the idea of having the oportunity to select my tools (AH, CVS2, Chaos Code (wich i have not played yet, but looks cool) mvc2 & mvc3)
as does he since he is allowing the people to choose what action the chars can do as assists and how many members you can have on your team
my real problem is how usually capcom handles this, giving only one option that its really useful and the others being average or just bad (dunno if they do it on purpose)
the whole “select your poison” thing is defeated when these options are meaningless
all the tools should be useful and more importantly
a) cover a weakeness
or
b) strengthen the strategies and strong points of the char
that way you can select them based on your strategy and/or your matchups
and from what we have seen in the past it seems that in many ocasions capcom doesnt put enough thought on what options are they giving to the chars
why they thought that cammy or fei needed a counter ultra?
why some characters have only one useful assist or worse, dont have any
btw, i kinda understand why they go the route of having selectable supers, the ex-moves theorically cover the weakness that some supers did in the past
the problem is that the ex moves only work through the moves that the char already has and if he/she doesnt have a move that could work via ex move to cover said weakness he/she wouldnt simply have that option

Why? WHy would Capcom put El suck in with ELena over Makoto? Capcom has already shown they want alot of SF4 characters in so why put him with her? You can whine all you want but I have yet to hear a good reason.
I was actually trying to keep hope for the MIka fans alive with that post I made earilier because one of her best changes to get in would be with someone like EL suck since he likes her or whatever. I would think most of the MIka fans in this thread should be hoping Elena’s partner is Makoto so El whats his name could maybe sneak in. I could easily see Mika as his partner because they are both wrestler with masks and Capcom loves that stuff.
edit and just because a few pairings don’t make sense doesn’t mean that ALL future pais won’t make sense either. I think that point was goofy
I wonder if the chargable move changes when u pick a different super 0.o …wouldnt make sense for Ken to still have tatsu chargable if his other super is shoryureppa or shinryuken.

Why wouldn’t they. Again, we have weird pairings so anything’s possible. Even Bison x Joe is a possibility. And if Capcom wants a lot of SF4 characters, why not include a character that actually debuted in the SF4 series?
Believe me, Mika X Fuerte is one of my top choices, but if the Mika disconfirmation is true, then it leaves Fuerte free.
Based off your attitude, you seem to hate Fuerte, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see if you were to use a reasoning I have for a character you want.
Plus, it’s pretty silly to downgrade characters and their fans - there’s no reason to do that. Especially if you want to make your “point” a valid one.
I don’t care about El whats his name I just can’t ever remember his damn name. People rarely pick him against me and when they do my Cody blows them up so fast to not care and I really never bothered to learn his name. Maybe because I think he’s a really bad character and never paid him much attention.
I don’t need to make excuses for Mak to getting as she will likely be Elena’s partner anyway. Really tho as long as I have Cody (which judging from the list looks like I’m good to go) and Poison I’m good. Honestly Elena is just gravy delicious long range poke gravy for me to pair Hwoarang up with for team “smell my feet”.
I don’t wanna hurt your feeling or nothing but El fire or whatever is just one of the character I would personally love gone.
How did I downgrade fans? I never called El what his name fans dumb for liking him, I think your being a bit sensitive. As I said before I just can never remember how to spell his name so I just type something else and stick it there. I’ve always done that to character that I don’t pay attention to that have things like: Mr.something Ms.whatever Captain blah blah etc.
El suck is one I came up with to remember him because I play Virtual Fighter alot and it’s to easy to get them mixed up. So I tell them apart by their tiers. One is bad: El suck and one is very dangerous El fire ( the VF one with black mask).
Nothing personal lol just how I tell them apart. It’s very easy to get them mixed up and yeah I think both El’s are bad characters especially El fire.

Aside from what’s already been presented, if you can’t remember his name, I suggest either looking it up or just call him Elf. It’s not like it’s that difficult to distinguish from [S]Rey Mysterio[/S] El Blaze.
