Eh. A while ago it was Hugo, or Sakura, now it is Poison. She can certainly be a fun character and she’s got one hell of a nice character model, but I figure most of you will move on to the next low tier to try out. Next stop the Blanka train, you heard it here first.
Also rejoice, I am not going to be using El Fuerte, at least not yet. Rose really jumped out as a character I’ll enjoy using, to the point that if she was in sfxt maybe I’d actually have a SF cast member on my teams.
As the lowest tier characters? I was just given examples of low, not saying who got rock bottom’d. If you mean who everyone is all hyped up about Asuka sure but I do not remember any Ibuki hype happening here.
Rose reminds me a bit of Raven actually, with a strong fireball game and a kick that beats throws/lows. She has significantly less damage though, but seems to have a superior AA.
Sorry to branch this out into AE, but I was wondering which characters in that game are the most similar to Bryan and Jack-X?
I’ve been playing Poison for a good minute actually. Just wasn’t until recently that I really practiced more with her and tried her with characters not named Juri, Cammy or Law.
That said, Cammy seems to work well with her too, I think.
Rose. -sigh- I might put my self back in that self-imposed hell in AE for now, but I’m honestly thinking of picking Juri back up and just getting used to playing her in both games (which is the only reason I stopped playing her in AE… I love the j.HP ground bounce soooo much, and I want to juggle off her dive kick!). Then again, I dunno’, I guess Rose just got boring to me, at least her SF4 version.
One of my favorite characters ever, but she looks and feels… I guess the word I’m looking for is “outdated” in SF4’s engine.
Provided they didn’t do anything super-dumb, she would be very interesting i the SFxT engine. Far fierce crumple stun? HK Reflect causing higher float? Oh the Tag combos that could ensue…
…brb twitter-bombing Combofiend/Haunts/Ono/Capcom to put Rose in SFxT v.2014 (#notreally)
Sigh, SFxT 2014. Maybe then they’d put one of the characters I actually use in Tekken in the gam. I guess Leo was just too bland to bring to 2D (or not popular enough, somehow), but why on earth did they pass over Lee?
Not a huge fan of Rose’s sprite/design either, but her normals are really clicking for me and I think I can learn a lot of fundamentals with her. Speaking of fundamentals, is it possible to incorporate things from the sonic hurricane footsies handbook vs. A.I? Wondering how to improve footsies without a human opponent.
Blazing Kick is one of Lee’s signature moves and they gave that to Ogre. His other moves though? Aren’t that insanely recognizable unless they gave him his Hitman Stance attacks, which would kinda make him like another Law in a way only he could move around with it…slowly at least in my opinion.
Other notable specials, I could see would be his pulse blast (f,f+3), give it some projectile invulnerability and it’s good to go. Or even his new running move! Too bad TTT2 came out after SFxT
That and also finding a partner for him would’ve been difficult. The most likely choice of partner for him in my opinion would be Anna since they worked together back in Tekken 2 but I believe that she was de-confirmed by one of the directors.
That said, looking at some of the official pair-ups in the game and the stories behind them, some decent writing could give them a reason to put them together.
Rose would be pretty solid in this game provided they work around some of her stuff to make it viable in the game. I can imagine :f:+:hk: causing a ground-bounce on counter hit or EX Soul Spiral causing a Wall-bounce on hit. Her reflector could work well and her wake-up wouldn’t be as much of an issue due to rolls. But that’s just me.
I felt it would make sense for Leo/Lee to be a pairing, since they both have major beef with Kazuya. Of course I am biased because that is the only team I’ve ever played in TTT2.
Sure Ogre has Blazing and Infinite Kicks, but a lot of his moves were taken from characters still in this game: his punch strings are Kazuya’s for instance, right?
I think if Lee was incorporated it would give Ogre more of a Boss feel that people not familiar with Tekken might not know.
Or even better than Lee/Leo, what about Lee/Combot?
So it has went from the asuka army to the lili army, the cody frauds, the nina uprising (yes there was a point when ninas started to increase), juri army, the bob phase, back to the asuka army, then balrog phase, now we are on poison…what’s next the christie army? Oh yea the kuma phase also, totally forgot about the bear lol. These flavor of the month armies…
