AE definitely seems like the easiest transition from SFxT, even if none of the characters I play are in it. Always wanted to be a great El Fuerte player but from what I hear that is impossible unless you are iPeru, otherwise it is just mashing on run options and getting lucky.
I pretty much love AE, Im just amazed at the amount of utter bullshit which is present in that game and how it all pretty much goes unmentioned for the most part. (El Fuerte, Seth, DP FADC, DP FADC ultra, El Fuerte, unblockables, El Fuerte, 2 frame command grabs, armored command grab to ultra, 22 iframes on a DP, etc.)
I love El Fuerteās character design, but his playstyle is justā¦ugh. I donāt see how a character that is designed purely around guessing right on wake-up could have POSSIBLY been a good idea.
Not true. You actually get over 500 with the optimal Ogre combo I listed, and the Dudley combo does about the same damage. Bryanās max with EX Snake is 486. I go to the training room on occasion.
Thing is, you canāt just go on optimal damage anyway. What if the whole point is this - Bryan does high damage with easy tag combos, allowing him to switch out if needed and deal a lot of damage in the process? EX Snake Pit is not always the best option, especially in the corner, where EX Snake combos donāt event work to begin with (and Dudleyās tag corner combo does over 500 there anyways).
Finally feels like my team is improving. Still taking my lumps along the way but at least it feels more like execution mistakes and mental errors than not knowing my options and feeling handicapped.
Still trying to mentally work cr.HK xx CADC PC into my gameplan more (plz donāt murder me Wulfsten), but boy oh boy is Julia fun when she gets going.
Also hot damn Poison is getting more fun by the day. Wish she tagged better with Juri, but they play similar roles anyway so meh. Still can be an annoying team lol.
Being the best at dress up is one of the most important aspects of a fighting game with customization. Winning at style while winning matches?
Seriously though, I have too much fun with customization in anything. In this day and age, every game should offer that, especially FGs.
Roknin is absolutely right on the customizations I wasnāt going to buy CoD ghosts until they said I could customize my character and be a sexy female soldier. (Now all I need is third person modeā¦) And I got Saints Row 4 for the customizations as well. (Black president says āWhatās an Obama?ā xD)
as a fuerte/adon main who also played half the cast pretty well ā¦
if people tried fuerte for a week or so they would know that alot of fuertes options can be beat with an OS or a quick reaction based off what you see.
of course fuerte can do nothing or only do safe mixups but heās def not winning a space control battle with those pokes and health.
like most mixups its easier to beat if you fully understand it, i would be ok with him in sfxt but he would be another unplayed character unless people put him in the back for run away timeouts looool.
Iād just like some clarification - not sure if this is fossilized news or not.
At first I figured maybe it was a training mode dummy thing so I recorded it and purposely didnāt block at all, and it still blocked.
Then tried it in a briefing room session with Don Wulong and he could block it⦠without pressing anything.
Then tried it in online versus in an actual āmatchā and it still auto-blocked.
This was my first time seeing it since I donāt play this team at all, and Iāve had/seen resets before that were pretty close/nasty cross-ups right after a combo⦠never had it auto block.
!!!
EDIT: Now that Iāve watched it a few hundred more times, I think I might see whatās happening. Since technically when the tatsu hits Ken is still posing before he runs out, he still counts as āon screen and in playā, and the same auto-block mechanic that āprotectsā you during cross assault kicks in since Ryu is hitting from the opposite side.
But I love lucha, and I love cooking. Why do people hate Fuerte mains if heās an easy to beat out gimmick character? His whole thing is crazy oki, but if I understand correctly some characters have far better vortexes and actually, you know, other facets to them.
It would be interesting to see how they would adapt Fuerte in SFxT because forward roll literally destroys his character design. Iād much rather see R.Mika in a current gen title though, USF4 dropped the ball with who they picked imo.
He has always respected SFxT even though he didnt play it as much because our local scene does whatever it takes to discredit SFxT. He has never shitted on the game but didnāt comment much on it since he doesnāt know much about it. I told him to pick Kazuya since he has good execution and I believe he has the dexterity to dorya. Chun x Kaz sounds like a meh team. But he seems to dig it.
I make the same point, but I do understand why many players never join when I invite. They prefer to watch replays or be in training. Training is fine, but the game is already desert if nobody wants to play even being on the game it is not going to make it.
Although @Rc_ON you come back to your positions? Apparently you continue to play with dlc players like ichigo (I was with him at the microphone, he was quite upset especially against the air tatsu but censorship forbids me to say more XD) or even Lloyd that I read ⦠So why this drama?
"Nah Iām fine with the jokes lol but I just read a series of the dumbest excuses ever. I will just stop dealing with it. There are enough players who donāt rely on these gems. "
