SFxT General Discussion #3 - Still Alive

I bought this game last month because i wanted sth different from KOF13.
Luckily there are still some ppl online (I live in China) and some of them are freakin good!
Once every two weeks I go to my friends` and play this offline on x360 (i ve ps3) which is cool and everthing.
My team is Heiachi (i cant remember how to spell his name) and Guile (long time favourite…since SF2 WW). Now… yesterday i picked up Balrog to tag with Guile, they seem to work well together, but I kinda have problem against certain chars (ex. Ryu). Any advise? Can you link me some good videos for that “couple”?
Cheers

Something had to change on the rolls.

It was so much that you were in trouble if they anticipated it. You were in the same trouble, but in a different spot.

As such, you didn’t truly take “more” risk by rolling, you simply had a free chance to get out, and if you failed, you were in the exact same spot. This was really bad with regards to the corner. You never had to stay in the corner if you didn’t want to.

I agree, they have nered rolls a bit hard, but it’s tough to say at a distance. I still think the presence of the option weakens Votrex style play.

How about Heihachi’s Chrome Dome being unblockable at full charge…so I could technically force someone into a corner, do Guy’s TC>lk Tatsu, tag cancel Heihachi in and simply start charging Chrome Dome while they’re still airborne. Once they hit the ground, I just wait and release. I guess they could escape with a roll on wake-up, but I’m pretty sure the roll recovery plus the forward movement of the Chrome Dome will leave Hei relatively safe…

Man I wanted to, and planned to. But I was kinda’ forcing myself to play last night when I knew I was dead tired. I was nodding off waiting for my turn lol… no offense to you guys, just ended up staying later than expected at work and then other stuff. >___>

I’m hoping I’m not dead–tired tonight too, though since I’m at my writing meeting now and plan to write alike crazy tonight… probably. :-p

As an aside, yesterday marks the second time I’ve gotten destroyed by Cammy’s walking jab which has never been a problem for me until these past couple of weeks, wtf. I think I’m getting too anxious and want out of it. In fact I’m often either way too patient/passive and never get out of pressure, or I try way too hard to get in and start getting jump happy again.

Bad habits creeping back up, need to focus on re-eliminating those.

So which is the sfxt topic most used for v.2013 discussion and speculation? I wanna see what people think of Bob in particular and if what I think makes sense (He’s gonna be good), but the Bob forum is, well, the Bob forum.

No worries man, join up anytime you want. I loaned my buddy one of SF4 sticks so I’ll be off and on this and H4 late.

I think it’s been mostly here and the balance discussion. There’s also the suggestion thread for Capcom to (supposedly) look over but there’s no evidence that they have yet, or will. :-p

Right on, sounds good!

I think they should have just made rolls throw vulnerable for the duration, keep strike invincibility.

Has anyone tested the roll vulnerability yet? It does seem a little outlandish (though Tekken the rolls are punishable and you can still use them now and again, of course you have 12 other ways of getting up the oki-er needs to think about…). Throws would be interesting but then those with command throws would be a little broken. King is looking really good as is, he doesn’t need a free Tomahawk on their rolls after every Jaguar Bomb or Tomahawk he does.

Shadowloo Night Live are hosting SFxT now. We did it man. We did it.

Cherish it for as long as you can.

Now get to Melbourne for the next one.

Just ran into Darkphyre in endless. We had some good games. Noticed something throughout it. I don’t know the FUCKING first thing when it comes to fighting Juri. I took a few matches but i think it was because of Heihachi’s bullshit. Please lmk if you noticed anything i was doing wrong. Can’t believe I actually won some games vs somebody on SRK(I haven’t really had much luck in le’ past.)

oh, that was you? haha… ggs man, hei’s a pain up close >.> And apparently you do know the first thing about fighitng Juri: “Don’t jump”. ^.^ Didn’t really see you doing anything wrong per-se, just work on that spacing.

I’m planning a trip up in January, I’ll try make one that’s on then.

I know not to jump lol(Traumatized by vanilla JuriShutters)
but she just keeps storing and hittin me in my toes. Only thing I remember doing was like getting lucky low forward xx rolling dash to a reg throw. But overall i just don’t know how to approach her. Theres not a chance in holy hell i’ll try to AA her. It’s like against a good juri they do watever they want and i can’t do anything about it

Oh and I laughed when you said that was a troll account. Makn’ bitches lose crazy points. So rage-inducing.

Sick. Meet you in finals, yeah? Kuma + Whoever is OP vs Lei + Whoever is also OP?

You mean this? :stuck_out_tongue:

Prepare yourself guys, December is going to be rough.

I don’t think Guile/Balrog is a very good team after seing a french player using them, but If you’re having fun with them then just play them. I don’t play either of these characters but hey don’t you ever fight Jack, I think he can destroy your team pretty easily.

My point was; look at how Capcom trolls with him lately. They don’t take that shit seriously anymore. You want him for MvC? We got him for SFxT…look how that turned out.

Well, Capcom went too far too often, it was inevitable, but it’s a normal business practice all over the industry.

Strangely enough, recent news show that Capcom realized their error somewhat, plans to hire 1k new employees over the next decade (almost doubling their current numbers) and stop outsourcing their franchises.

Wasn’t aware that auto-corrected like that. O_O

*sigh *

…got damn Mishimas.

Good morning thread I hope everything’s going well to-
