I think Fada got 2 byes, and beat the Law x Ken player and Coblecog (He really shouldn’t have lost and he knows it too well:/) to get to winner’s final. So I would say he was pretty damn lucky. That Fada guy kicks me whenever I join him in ranked or endless and relies on ken’s safe dp and cody’s low short, so I don’t have much respect for him. Kinda annoying to place lower than him.

Which makes me wonder why Cody has yet to be banned from tournies. Everyone who plays him OFFLINE and ONLINE are frauds. Makes me sick whenever I see the same bullshit on stream in every single tourney. The offline experience of this game seems no different from online it’s scary!
I feel sorry for Cody mariners, when the patch comes out they can’t mash cr.:lk: anymore. :sad:
Now they have to mash their :mp:'es instead.

Yeah it drops here tomorrow and there’s tons of other stuff coming out/came out recently as well so I’m going to be trapped in the Halo/November/December game launch season vortex which will cause my wallet gets raped, all traces of what minute social activity I still have left is dropped, I become a hermit not leaving a single room let alone my house, my body and face begins to deteriorate into a pale, thin, husk (although I’m already hella ugly anyway so whatever), I sleep even less than I currently do etc…
This will likely carry on until at least Janurary or I’m placed into an ER.
So yeah it’s probably fair to say I likely won’t be labbing it up in SFxT as much as usual, at least until the patch anyway.
Well, Fadaa placed 2nd at the France qualifiers too, and he beat both Valmaster and Cuongster, two good players, so I guess just luck doesn’t justify what he did(it was his first tournament, on top of that).
He plays lame, but well, Wong and many fo the top american players plays about the same way(guys, you saw the canadian cup?). I understand people are salty when placing lower than him, but it’s the game allowing to use this strategy and Fadaa uses it well. Can’t wait for the patch to change that shitty boost combo thing though.

Considering that they changed the Immense Power Level 3 Gem that activates when you go into Pandora Mode to a measly Level 1 it would be good if they toned down the defense gems a bit. But nope this is Capcom we are talking about here, it will take about a good couple majors before they nerf those gems.
Personally I don’t think they are THAT bad consdering if you get the life lead, the chances of them coming back is pretty slim considering that they do 10% less damage if it’s an Iron Wall Gem and that sucks if you put these gems on characters like Gief who has high damage output (at least in terms of damage in normals) or Hugo (we know that one.)
If they are Fortitude, Life Force and Harmonize then OUCH that erm…kind of sucks considering fortitude gems only de-activate once you are hit upon activation and the ‘Life Gems’ are a bit of a pain to get around kind of like Speed Gems. Their main weakness being the fact that you could have picked another gem in that slot.
Just quoting this so that you see this but just that feeling of walking someone to the corner only for them to realize:

Just feels too good to know that you have messed with your opponent’s head only without even going inside of it. In a way they’ve messed themselves up.
Read it again. They nerfed the cross assault gem, not the pandora gem. Get your facts straight.

I already use cr.mp more than cr.lk, so this won’t be a problem well, for me anyways. I use cr.lk only when I have to ie; hit confirms into Criminal Upper…and thats really it. I use zonk more than criminal upper, my style is based around zonk and using criminal uppers so my partner can tag in safely. I don’t like to use boost too much. Just makes me laugh when people come in talking shit on people that main Cody, assume that every Cody plays that way (I don’t), and then laughs when I tell them I don’t and they’ve never even played me on xbox live. Only person here that has is roknin. I hit him with zonks all day everyday lol! I’m playin’ man.

He definitely does some stuff right, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t consider him to be top 5 material in this tournament, and not the 5th. placer either. I feel brackets were unfair to some players and more kind to others. But that happens, and he did beat Cog and Valmaster, two good players, so he did what he had to I guess. I stand by what I said though. I would not have lost to him.
