SFV wants to SELL THE FGC to the masses. Will it be worth a barebones release?

You can play the CPU in survival mode. Problem solved.

Exactly… its this generation of gamers. Glad im not part of it.

“CPU under normal game conditions” is one statement. Saying “Problem solved” because you found an alternative for part of that statement is pointless. It’s nothing alike, and it isn’t an effective alternative. It also wasn’t the point I was making. It’s being said that Capcom laid out plans for everything missing in advance, but this is missing and there was no notice.

Wait, Does this mean since that map doesn’t show Arcade Mode or VS CPU mode, we won’t be getting those modes?

Incorrect…Cinematic Story mode/= Arcade mode. Its right there in the update plan.

It’s a joke.

Also, I personally don’t see why an arcade mode specifically needs to be a requirement. Especially with how fighting games tend to have story modes and multiplayer modes as a bigger focus now. It’s a staple for like older fighting games, but there are a lot more other creative things that should be coming up in the works for single player. Don’t see why 2/3’s against the CPU HAS to be included in 2016.

I respect Capcom for pushing multiplayer, people need to play each other.

That’s just the generation we have now. Everyone expects some kind of substantial single player portion or no sale. If I can’t beat 7 CPU opponents and get a 30 second cutscene at the end, it aint worth it. Battlefront didn’t have a campaign against a bunch of bots, so fuck them. Titanfall didn’t have a campaign, so fuck that game. Niggas on Blizzard boards asking about single player modes for Overwatch.

Like damn b…can multiplayer games just be multiplayer games? They can’t all be Smash Bros or NR games. Some have different priorities, budgets, philosophies.

That’s not what I’m talking about. Under the Versus option in a typical fighting game, if you don’t activate Player 2, the game will default to Player 1 fighting the CPU in a single match. Player 1 will pick his character and the opponent and you’ll play a single best 2 out of 3 round match. It’s basic functionality that already exists within the game. It just wasn’t included. They probably just forgot, so some mild complaining across the net will be how we get it included in a future patch.

I’m not picky. They could have thrown it in training, although that obviously wouldn’t be very convenient. I just want the option.

Imho it’s quite important for very new players to a genre, even in competitive games.
Many people just prefer to hop into a game and play easy matches against AI opponents to learn how to walk. And yes, especially in games that are >90% multiplayer games, like sports games etc. First thing I did when I played some FIFA/randomsportsgame? Played casually against the AI. Just jumping in the deep water, playing against human opponents (and constantly getting your ass handed) isn’t everyone’s taste and not the best way to gain a bigger audience. But well, maybe that’s just me. Sure, survival mode may be similar, but it’s not the same.

That’s at least the complaints I heared from some people in my vicinity in the recent days. :v
People who never really played a a fighting game before.

Go to training, hit start. Set all the options to normal on page 3. Set the dummy to CPU/8. Have fun.

Should be enough to hold you off till its updated. Personally that mode is just a waste of time though, you wont learn to play SFV by fighting CPU drone that reads your button presses.

A good matchmaking system should keep you from getting your ass handed to every single match. It should eventually match you with people who are just as bad if it’s done right.

Survival mode IS a vs CPU mode so that’s good enough for giving someone new something to do in single player. One March hits and the daily challenges and such come about, that’ll give more multiplayer based things for people to achieve that aren’t so set around winning but rather learning.

I’m aware of the current options. It’s still not what I’m talking about and you know that. I’m not asking Capcom to build anything or get anything out before it’s ready. This already exists within the game. They just didn’t create the option. It’s a very basic option to include. There was no reason not to include it. People want it. It’s not on the roadmap. This is how it gets on the roadmap. You don’t have to want it and you don’t have to use it, but it was expected by many that it would be there because all of the components it’s comprised of exist within the game already.

I thought Cinematic story mode was going to be similar to Xrd’s story mode - you watch it, not play it.

I think you mean “turn on the turbo and wander off to do something else so you get the fight money for watching it.” Common mistake really.

Just return it and come back in 2 months.

Im playing the game the way its meant to be, Vs Human opponents. Servers are fixed now.

It’s become pointless to talk to you about this. I get the gist and why you’re shifting the focus of your defense for the release. “This has met my needs, therefore it’s great. If your needs don’t coincide with mine, then FU and shut up about it”.

Its extremely pointless cause your complains now will be a forgotten memory later.

Don’t worry
I talked about 3 fps drops from 60fps
He told me not to play at all and not to ever friend or play him because 3fps drops will affect his frame rate
He then told me to go to the CoD forums

I wonder if he’s seen some of the community members’ specs in PC specs thread on SRK or know the ps4 has frame drops

Is there a matchmaking setting to play against only PC players that hit recommended benchmark/constant 60fps? I wonder

LOL

Yea and I stick by it. If your FPS is dropping during gameplay, dont play me. Fix your shitty ass PC.

Matchmaking settings : PC Benchmark Only
