@PFunk
holy shit dude. even the jacket is badass. if i had to criticize something is that his face is very chiseled so it doesn’t match the style of the rest of his body which looks much more smooth and rounded. he sticks out a bit but i would rather the game be in this style than what they went for. props man. this is great art and really captures the character.
@pootnannies : thanks, I appreciate the feedback ! This art style is like walking on egg shells, the slightest edge here or there can make the whole thing tip into one style or another. But the challenge is what makes it interesting for sure !
@“Phantom Angel” : thanks for taking the time to check out the link ! Yeah I worked there for some time a little while ago. Working on my own stuff now, which gives more time for side projects like these SFV mods
@PFunk I gotta say I’m very impressed with the mod. The one point of criticism I’d make is that on lower graphic settings, the textures are massively reduced compared to the textures on regular Alex. Specifically, I noticed that his hands and gloves look very “rubbery” on lower specs, but other than that it’s a fantastic mod and I can’t wait to see more. Nice touch with the winter jacket too I’ve always wanted Alex to wear it during gameplay.
Yeah, graphics settings seem to affect the look of the game quite a lot … Higher settings do add a ton of occlusion, which gives great depth but tend to work best with simple textures … whereas lower settings just make everything look more flat. Of course that’s a given (that’s pretty much how every PC game works !) but it sure makes it hard to find a balance. At the end of the day I need to find a way to preview the SFV materials earlier in the pipeline (this still has to be reverse engineered - at the moment they are not available in UE). Hopefully soon !
So I made a site to post SFV mods a few months ago, but it was a mess, so I got rid of it, now I upgraded it and SFV and IV support is done in a much better way.
