my problem with guile is that hes way too safe and his vtrigger 2 makes it even harder to get in on him, on top of all that hes kinda easy to pick up
I rather fight Guile over any other high tiered characters. His zoning is actually weaker than his old incarnations.
Except for the 6.5 frames of lag that makes sonic boom hard to block, it is much easier to anticipate, jump in and punish. Guile requires more commitment to sonic booms than other games.
Yolo flash kick is much easier to deal with than yolo dp. You can keep track of the charge time and there are a lot less gimmicks with flash kick than with dps.
Guile has been turtling for over 25 years. His design is fine.

Health is fine but IMO he shouldnāt be able to cancel fireball recovery into V-Trigger. At that point in the match itās the one thing where youāre looking for something to open him up but you canāt because every anti-fireball option can be shut down with two buttons into DP into air fireball mixup.
I realize thatās one thing that makes him unique (even though Juri can do it, too) but with all the commitment talk it feels like a cheap āget out of jailā card a top tier like Akuma certainly doesnāt need on top of everything else.

Yeah thatās kinda bullshit, reason Juri needs it quite a lot is that when she uses fireballs from a blockstring it rarely connects, so you cancel whiff recovery a lot purely from cr.mk

He plays Necalli already, with CPT points on the line thereās no time to learn another character. Necalli is boring and stupid, but heās versatile and with some random craziness he definitely can lead the player farther than Vega. Even last year Xiaobao throws away many chances to be at least in some Top 8ās because his stubbornness at using Vega instead of Necalli, itās all on Capcom making Vega a viable character, no need to suffer.

Ok, but Necalli hasnāt been boring since yesterday only. He could always have learned another character on the side that he feels is more interesting. Bison or Kolin have similar air mobility than Vega for example and are competitively viable.
Or if he just wants to play a character thatās super good thereās always Akuma, Cammy and Guile. As a bonus all three of them are super easy to pick up.

Not everyone find Necalli boring, some players love how easy he is and how many tool they have at their disposal. Heās a noob-friendly character who didnāt received nerfs since day 1, Necalli is still top 10 material.
