If he throws a bad raw VT2 ball out just dash into it before he releases it, as long as you have a good amount of health just dash into it. It does like no fucking damage and he can’t get any oki from it after you get hit by it. Then you’re still right up in his shit.

I used Ryu and I did walk up EX DP LOL then I landed on his VT2 but like you said the damage didn’t scare me off. Also did Karin’s EX Tenko after inching up in anticipation. Edit: I think I did raw tatsu also hehehehe

Oh well, who needs Sim when Falke is next week, I’ll get my 30K FM this weekend.

Looking over some more Falke footage, I wondered if committing to giving up one of her good punch buttons was a pretty big trade off to get the fireball, but her kicks seem to be pretty good. Standing and crouching short seem to have good frame advantage, her forwards have good range and that s.hk is a big boy Crush Counter, which means people are going to want to duck.

Will2Pac was getting a lot of mileage out of buffering s.mk xx KK special, that may be the strategy du jour while getting fireballs charged

I think once people optimize which button to hold charges with and how to neg edge and switch buttons to do different things should work out pretty well overall.

That s.HK does look like a nice big boy CC. If you can use it like Ibuki’s or Cammy’s s.HK I’m down. Oh and yeah s.MK buffer to KK sounds good. The KK is minus 10 on block, but yeah after a buffer from her s.MK you likely wont have to deal with it getting blocked very often since I would imagine that connects from the tip of s.MK.

Another thing too is that the EX KK seemed to be safe? Obviously could just be unfamiliarity, but the entire WSO group seemed to get CH for trying to punish. Would be kinda nice, considering it’s a launcher.

I just wanna be able to walk Akuma to the corner with my gun.
Nullify every fireball with the 4 hit regular standing shot, AA his fireball approach and shoot him out of the air too.

I’m not sure how the Guile mu is gonna play out.
I hope she can do well on the edge of Guile’s normal range, might be a bit scrappy.
Trigger 1 is a no brainer for the knockdown, can’t keep shooting his ankles forever.

EX versions of moves are usually safer any way so I’m sure it would be harder to punish. Like to see exact numbers.

I think the standard shot is just 3 hits, but that’s enough to clash with/remove just about any kind of fireball on screen. Between all her fireballs, Akuma and just about any other fireball character outside of Guile wont be able to make Falke block or take hits from many fireballs. V Skill can absorb the one hit fireballs, standing shot will eat the multi hit ones, low fireball will low profile under them and air fireball allows her to hover and shoot over them.

Must be nice to be able to shoot all these fireballs in different directions…gee…sure wish juri had something like that…

Regarding Sim’s VT2, most Sim’s know about the counter options and cancel the initial activation into a float, TP in one of three places, or no flame to get it started and throw a normal or fireball. The orb lasts for 5 seconds. It’s enough time to set something up. If I’m cornered or have bad spacing, I’ll do one of the above options. Covering with a fireball is my favorite option.

At this point I have a pretty good grasp on which characters to use VT2 on. It’s pretty much 50/50.

VT2: Guile, Ryu, Ken, Sakura, Urien, Gief, Abi, Nec, Chun, Balrog, Mika, Laura, Ed, Menat, Most likely Falke.

50/50: Akuma, Nash, Zeku

VT1: Vega, Bison, FANG, Karin, Rashid, Cammy, Birdie, Kolin

The nice bluffs to VT1 makes it viable in any MU. Sim is +6 on a follow up st.mk and +4 on a st.mp after the trigger hits. After VT1-st. Mk hits, Sim can backwash and pull the screen. This prevents the opponent from being able to escape the flame carpet. I tested with Nash backdashing after the st.mk hits. There’s no escape.

I think VT1 still lacks that oomph factor. The only change I want is for to halt stun depletion while the opponent is in the flame.

Damn I’m on a roll today with jailbait shoto. The only matches I lost were against some Guile (what a surprise) and a Rashid whom I know was nerfed but is still annoying as fuck to play against.

I think I need to stop now before this escalates into a 30 losses in a row scenario like last time.
