The decline in the quality of animations started getting very noticeable when the first wave of Dlc characters got released in 2016. But now it’s horrible to the point where it’s completely getting in the way of my excitement for the releasing characters.
I completely blame NRS for this horrible influence And all the half assed review sites that kept praising their “graphics” despite the puke inducing gorilla animation standard that they adhere to. Companies like capcom see people not noticing, begin to think maybe animations aren’t thaaat important and start cutting corners.
Cause otherwise there is no way they can go from being super meticulous about the animations to almost not caring at all in a span of 5 years.
There’s so little of that in V. Only Sim has a standing low.
If she has some good normal for AA’ing and space control, I think I’ll pick her up. I’m too lazy to learn Menat or Guile VT1, but if Falke can zone on Sim, Menat, or Guile’s level, I’ll pick her up.
Yeah I’m not holding my breath for standing low cuz this game is probably too honest for a legit anime/KOF standing low, but considering she doesn’t seem to have any go to overhead option, might be in the cards.
Dhalsim’s standing low is more like a long ranged low poke with really long start up than like a fast Iori style stand low that check people low blocking while being able to walk, throw and footsie.
There are situations where you can use it like that. Near death and threatening with snipe, st.hp works. It’s also safer than a mk.slide at certain ranges and has more range than st.lk and won’t leave sim, at best, -1 point blank.
Yeah I’m just looking at something more like Iori’s where you can legit use it to take people off low block while playing closer ranged footsies and tick throwing them.

After countless nights of intense matches, I’ve finally reached my destination. All the nights where I made little to no progress, got my ass kicked, and was left doubting myself, was worth it in the end. Those were the moments that pushed me to improve and never give up.
There was a time when I didn’t think I’d get out of Super Gold. There was a time when I thought Platinum was the furthest I’d ever go. It’s amazing how much our mindset plays into our capabilities. Overall, this was a ton of fun. I learned a lot about myself and the game in general.

You’re in inspiration for all of those that are too afraid to get into ranked and get those LPs. I need to get back on the grind to at least Super Diamond. Regular Diamond is pleb these days.
