RIP Necalli. I dont think any character got hit as badly as Necalli when it comes to universal changes. Everything sfv is infamous for; anti air jabs, wake up dp, jump in combos crush counter damage, v trigger combos, got toned down dramatically.
He’s still top 10, but he is just too fair now. Most people already dropped him for other characters. Granted he’ll never fall below top 10 unless Capcom did something drastic like touch his frame data on his V trigger.
It pains me to say this since he’s my favorite newcomer but I already dropped him for Ibuki. She just has more to work with.
Capcom fucked this character up canon wise, hes just an after thought. Before the game came out, there was this air of mystery about him. They even had him devourouring Evil Ryu’s soul in the preview. Come story mode, he was irrelevant. The first DLC of S2 killed him off in minutes and he’s no where found in s3 intro. I know FANG isn’t in it the S3 intro but at least he has a new protege and was the main villain in story mode.

Once I saw the trailer for Necalli I was done being hype for him. Generic angry unga bunga character with cool hair. His entire moves list looked like it was ripped from a create a fighter and he just didn’t have anything that really stood out other than how angry he was. His theme and character fits a certain type of person, but just wasn’t for me.
Have no qualms with him being less relevant. Just don’t like the character at all. Everyone looks the same when they play him. Even different top level Cammy players have more variety than top Necallis. Still prefer him over Seth, but it’s just that I dislike him less than Seth.

I don’t think Necalli is angry, ferocious yes. But I agree on his moveset, total bore.
Customs would make things messy, but there is also the fact that it is also a hori, and that means square gate.
That is what is screwing my inputs up.

Real close match with Haitani and John there. John rocking Black and Gold Rashid for extra powers now that Rashid is honest. He needs all the power he can get. Fujimura doing work as usual. Caught a couple new ninja setups I could use.

capcom has a thing for hyping characters up and once theyre revealed they turn out extremely boring, i knew necalli would get left in the dust because of how linear he was from the beta days. id rather they put in an SF4 original character over him
Maybe I should follow my gay guy Fuudo and embrace that Mika life.
