The EX Flip (Jakura) has changed, it’s more difficult to steering in the air now. Still cross you up if Zeku is close,but falling in front requires to steer earlier.

I think that’s more or less due to the type of players being faced off (Tekken VS SF players) and that it does things on the fly with the given rules without “staging” or rehearsing stuff. Feels like a combination of all the bad qualities of a reality show like the one JWong was in, combined with theme of only the fighting game genre being considered.
Cross Assault was hella fun to watch, definitely some good times with Aris and Dr. Subzero, and it’s pretty much anything goes as it was “STREAMED” so you pretty much see what is going up front without staged-like rehearsals and other weird trendy reality themes involved (say explicit words? No censorship, but they will wear a horse head mask as punishment… etc.). There were backstage stuff but it wasn’t really held on the main stream, and even that went okayish:
The ELEAGUE show is going to feel odd in the same way an older airing with this style with JWong felt odd.
Dunno if you have seen Highland video about 3.5 the patch. He breaks down Ryu, Sakura, Abigail, Birdie, Cammy, Akuma and Guile changes (with particular detail on Ryu). He seems happy about Ryu stating that he undeniably got better, probably viable now (nothing top/high tier crazy, but viable).
Interesting to see that he does agree with me that reduced pushback on booms might actually be a buff for Guile.
I know that EX flash kick all the way back to Mars is a buff.
Kens got a secret buff - his hp dp is completely fireball invincible after frame one, you can use it to go through fbs outside of sweep range the same way birdie would, but I think kens range is slightly better.
But, his sthp to chin buster crush counter combos do the same damage as countet hit crmp to chin buster combos. That’s almost too retarded.
