I think one of the reasons why Fang,Juri and Vega are never going to be “strong” is because a lot of bad players (which make up the majority of the playerbase, especially in shitholes like reddit) find them “annoying to fight against”, they’re not simple characters to figure out plus they’re niche so people actually have to learn the mu, that’s probably why most players are ok with Guile being better at everything than most characters since he’s pretty straightforward and simple. I lost count how many times I’ve seen people calling Juri a fast character when her backdash is kinda average and her back walk not that good for her archetype

I guess a positive aspect of the Abigail nerfs is that I can play him without hearing all the complaints. That was getting annoying.

its like i said before capcom intentionally avoids nerfing akuma but did they revery uriens ST.HP?

tbh this patch is indefensible

at least in lol they pretend to care about the lower tiers and give them little buffs. also, the 2 week patch cycle makes the changes less painful.

but capcom is straight destroying certain chars and completely ignoring others. then giving cammy more options and stun. and this is after verloren has been tearing shyt up for a while now.

idk what to say. i’ll be a capcuck for life due to my childhood but this shyt is dumb AF. fuck you capcom.

This’ the hit box of the air headbutt that lost 200 stun and now cancels into ex air SPD.
Can’t wait to never land that combo. :frowning:

Sakura’s Tengyo Hadouken buffs are pretty significant. It has the same recovery as Guile’s boom now, and since she is pretty good at controlling the ground anyways, it’s probably a much better move to throw out. Her VT1 fireballs also all have the recovery of Sonic Boom; you may not get that many but that’s definitely more incentive to use it.

Along with her being able to use a + medium button and link into another on hit and frame trap with another medium on block, Sakura got off pretty easily if all she did was lose throw loop

not really. they nerfed his corner damage big time. they took away his hard-knockdown setup (that might come back now with the change to his EX DP) and his f.HP is no longer + on block. he has a harder time getting in. also his dumb demon flip shit is easier to get hit out of. Akuma isn’t as great as some of you think he is. Tokido is just that good.

Yeah, reading the developer notes… how do any of these changes make her more offensive lol? The only thing I can see is “eased combo count” on vskill but I’m not even sure what that means to be honest.

They also seem to really want Karin players to use Ex. Orochi, they’ve buffed it twice now and they keep nerfing Tenko. Not too happy about that since Ex. Tenko is used way more than Ex. Orochi because it juggles after L.mujin and gives way better oki.

They buffed slide so it’s probably easier to connect after air rekkas now. Not a huge change, but a quality of life improvement that’s nice.

Seems like they buffed VT2 as well.

Damn, Sakura seems way better now. Might start messing around with her again.

I guess he might have a damage tone down in the corner but he still looks like he hurts a lot in the corner to me. His V Trigger 1 has a built in hard knock down so I think he’ll live there. f+MP is safe minus now which is still good and still plus on a VTC. Plus I believe he gets better combos if it hits now. Demon flip is still demon flip and he’s still the only character with an air fireball that forces a lot of characters to jump hoops to anti air him. Especially once in VT1.

his f.MP is still -6 though. at maximum distance it’s safe enough against most characters. his air fireball is trash and he can actually be punished on hit in some circumstances. VT1 is the exact opposite though, where his air fb is op. on slower characters his regular air fb is decent but i just look for it and walk under or dash and punish.

I mean to say f+HP the thing you were talking about. Yeah that’s still safe and gives more plus on hit from what I’ve heard.

I dunno if his air fireball is trash if you comebine it with his other air options, but yeah.
