Ranked, as aggravating as it may be, is a good way to increase your skill in the game.
Sure, you will deal with a lot of one sided rollbacks, lag switchers and other annoying stuff, but you find yourself forced to adapt quickly or lose.
And losing isn’t always bad, no matter how angry you may feel about it. It is easier to learn from mistakes and loses than to learn from wins.
Right now I am struggling to stay on silver and rank up, and it is most on me. My stick may be giving me pain and more than enough reasons to want to crush it under a hammer, but what is costing me most my victories are my own mistakes.
I AA poorly, my inputs aren’t precise enough, letting hits that landed without a follow up, falling for the same shit like blocking a jump in and then taking the throw because I didn’t AA or didn’t try to backdash after blocking (I will always take the throw, no teching for me, usually not worth the trouble).
I just accept it and try to work those flaws. Once I start to overcome them, I will rank up.
Also in the interest of setting smart goals I’m putting a date on it: Platinum by EVO. That’ll give me something to work towards. Climb starts tomorrow unless work fucks me somehow.
Love seeing us try to come up in ranked. We got some serious folks who are willing to persevere. Hats off to everyone who refuses to quit. Love to see how we so progress on our individual roads to new leagues.
I’m not positive on the real canon but it seems to me that Ed and Falke wear some type of higher level of Shadowloo gear. They look like a mix of the regular doll subject outfit with a touch of Bisons’ outfit. Like if Dolls were phase one and their phase 2 of his experimentation.
I like Falke’s story outfit (which has the Shadowloo stamp on it) more than the default. I dunno if I hated Shadowloo I wouldn’t work the hat.

Ive also been watching Leevy_Lin’s. He’s the highest ranked Falke that uses her in ranked. Has some funky uses of her j.MP and already doing the automattock VT pressure stuff.
Had a good run today in ranked after deranking down to Gold a few days ago. A 9 win streaked immediately followed by a 5 win streak and now Platinum doesn’t seem so far away.
