Puzzle bosses eh…

You ever played Punch-Out?

SFIV

Come now, we all know the fighting game division is a different entity that can’t balance or keep promises.

MK11 is the way.

Oh I know, but Sekiro is alot closer to Mega Man 4, than to other modern games in this regard.

Its not that the AI is predictable… its that once you understand things, you actually are in control of the enemies attack patterns. It makes the bosses less fun.

Yeah no ignore function on discourse is one of those weird hills the devs want to die on. I googled it a while back.

I mean Discourse is shit he probably meant switch to a better forum platform and not this timeline scrolling garbage you currently have. Idk why I have to explain this shit to you over 3 posts, comprehend posts better dipshit.

I love punch out.

But… punch out actually as better AI than Sekiro, you can’t trap the fighters as easily. Like I said, Sekiro AI is very Mega Man 4.

Also, Furi is amazing (its like punch out). I recommend it to anyone who likes that sort of thing.

So I didn’t understand that the real solution DJ and I should do is hack an ignore function into discourse.

Then I didn’t understand that the real REAL solution is for d3v, DJ and I to unilaterally and immediately change forum softwares to one that allows ignore.

Yeah that’s why I asked, I love Punch Out as well. :3

…except Bald Bull and to a lesser extent Soda Popinski’s second fights

AFAIK, we have no control over this as we are in a lower package for Discourse that doesn’t allow a lot of modifications any way. Unless the Elder God Administration can work magic, this is what we have and have to use.

@Pertho LMK if you know someone to ask that can bump up Discourse deal or do some hacking to fit an ignore function in, because AFAIK we have what we have here for a clear reason

I have more trouble with Soda.

Wii Punch out is my favorite I think. If you haven’t played that one.

Only mainline MM game I played was 9, which i loved to be fair.

But yeah almost every AI ever made is exploitable. Like in Anthem there are sniper enemies who will melee you back if you get too close, but will only try to shoot you if you are far. So if you just stand close-mid range they literally do nothing as you stand 6ft away with an LMG and mow them down.

I get it might be annoying, but what is hard about scrolling past a poster you know you don’t like? There’s your ignore function. Not ideal, but very easy to do.

Still it is shocking to see Jin like this. He’s been so measured for YEARS. I like it when people finally just DGAF sometimes.

We brought Jin down to our level.

Insert Nolan Batman quote here

Usually it only happens for me in PMs or just some other random things that only people from the Marvel 3 days would remember, but yeah.

Part of it is just there’s been so little actual drama that there hasn’t been any reason to, so whatever it gets people to post.

Sekiro is a rhythm game if you think about it lol.

I mean you’re the dude promoting forum growth on a platform nobody here likes expecting new users to come and fill the place out when most ppl here are just complacent with a shitty design because of the established community.

If pre-existing users hate it you can bet your ass new users aren’t gonna come here and stay with a shitty platform. Maybe bring it up with a senior.

Yeah that’s the one I was referring to.

Soda I at least find fun once you figure him out since you can combo so many hits on him and it feels really good getting that down. Bald Bull I think has just frame star hits and you need star hits to actually KO him so it just feels like a huge pain in comparison.

…I still haven’t beaten the secret fight yet though. I should go back and try that.

Its the simplicity of the exploit that’s the issue.

SFIV is one of my least favorite games in the franchise. However, in comparison to it’s contemporaries of the time, it wasn’t lacking at the time of release.

If we want to be super reductive, its really the worlds most intense game of Simon.
