How i saw TLJ.
I feel like the reason Jade has a fan base is cause she was the first dark skin/black female in MK and that alone was enough to make people want her back. Mileena was also the most interesting female ninja and they killed her off.
Because that’s the point. Teasers are a big deal because they are supposed to get you hype for the main course.
That’s what happened with TLJ.
I mean, it’s MK, nobody is truly dead. But to add characters like Cassie, Jaquie and not fan favorites like Mileena is truly a dumb move.
Maybe DLC but the fact that they gave Kitana one of MIleena’s moves ( the teleport ) and even her SAI is a bad sign.

Maybe they should just stop putting Kitana in. Her appearance means the roster death of someone else.

Nah, it’s fine.
Mileena move-set is still represented. This way they keep the function and the story coherent.
They can bring her back later. Classic characters don’t “need” to keep coming back.
Kitana is the Chun li of MK, she will be in all the time.
But yes, Mileena is much cooler.
That’s why all of this shit is funny for me because in MK2/3 she was just a swap of the same actress.
Just change her skin color from her natural light skin/caucasian deal and change the color of her outfit and it’s a “new ninja”.

I was kidding about not having Kitana. Just find it weird they keep giving her other characters’ moves since they started variations and a disservice to that character’s fans. Then again, I’ve had this a happened a few times before so I’m kinda biased against it.
The live actor graphic style has it’s charm. Using the same actress for 3 characters is pretty funny though.
What was their budget , 3 meal tickets ?
The guy ninja stuff is funnier. They’re so clothed up that one guy could act for 9 different ninjas. I believe some of them had their own specific actors (new Sub Zero without the mask would need one I guess), but it’s hilarious any way.
Sub Zero remains the best ninja, don’t care if Boon likes Scorpion more.
