GGs.

Ibuki has some crazy frame data.

I already knew the game was for me after watching the SS2 Evo tournament last year.

Yeah her buttons are pretty great, just not as long as im used to.

I’m falling into the trap of not using EX.Kunai again. Kept forgetting to use the stuff i practice.

I was playing really bad the first set. Didn’t really get to play from thursday to sunday so that has me playing badly.

Haven’t lost the confidence but I wasn’t analyzing on the fly as needed. You hit with me some smart stuff too. GGs again.

Dude tell me about it i been swamped with school and stuff so i haven’t played since probably early last week and i felt a bit lost early on.

Your Zeku is great but I was disappointed in my play. Several chokes and rounds that i could’ve taken if not for sloppy mistakes.

Man, there’s this Alex player that has my number free. Don’t think I’ve beaten him like once.

And just 2-0ed that fraud Mexican Kage.

Edit: real quick, any of you guys know how to do those banners with links all the cool kids have on their twitch pages? Was gonna start writing stuff up then realized I don’t have those fancy banners to break up the info.

Thank god Rashids don’t know that Cody can reflect his v trigger. Gave me win twice just now.

So if you want to be at the top of the rankings at Warlord like trashbox is, you need an 80% win rate in ranked (going by the last 100 matches which basically shows how you’re doing recently without that discussion of whether you started off weak and then got better). Apparently all the warlords are hovering there.

Right now I’m some 400ish points from diamond with a 62% win rate. So at that pace I could definitely get there if I farm super plats. Doctrine Dark got to the finish line in Ultimate Grand Master with a ridiculous 88% win rate.

Yeah yeah, the title in the rank doesn’t mean much outside of the game. But those consistent wins are damn impressive. So if you want to consider yourself consistent enough to be at the top tier in SF5, you need to be winning at least 80% of the games you play. Then maintain that productivity as the difficulty in opponent creeps up.

That’s some crazy stuff.

Also just becuse i’m already here: Trashbox has played 57,489 matches with Birdie and has a 75.72% win rate with him. He has played against Guile some 2000 times and has an 80% win rate against him. Lowest winrate is against sim at 54% and then Rashid at 67%.

All the Warlords have a level 85 to 90 or higher character also. If your character isn’t level 85 to 90 you have no shot.

Yeah, G’s don’t usually know Cody can reflect his V trigger vskill. Catches them off guard when the big ball of energy comes flying back and hits them in the face.

Speaking of G’s V Skill, at least in gold not many Akumas know that his V Skill can recover from eating an air hadouken so fast that its guaranteed that G will be able to punish when they land.

Also I see Pertho mentioned Fast and Furious, I knew u were a good boi :coffee:

Speaking of G, I was getting blown up by his VT all the time before I started doing my homework. I would be scared and walk back only to get hit by low lunge punch or I’d try to attack him and get hit by the V skill in VT mode and eat a fat combo.

I didn’t realize this until later but Akuma actually counters his VT pretty well as long as he has meter. So I’ll try to have a few bars ready for when they activate. If they come in with the lunge punch then I’ll just mash EX DP for a guaranteed punish. If I want to go in, I can go for the air EX fireball and punish the V Skill recovery.

G can beat that option with the EX wheel kick, but that’s like a 20f move. No one is going to try and AA with a 20f move. So I feel much better about that match than I did before when I was always so afraid of G in VT mode.

God bless MOV

I know you saw me beat on 56KModem @TWINBLADES . He still needs to learn the matchup. It was funny he was taking advice from CapsuleHero (UGM Karin) in the chat and I’d watch the replays and use the advice against him lol. He said it got a bit laggy for him and blacklisted me, but I think that’s just PS4 to PC thing. Sometimes PC gets it worse, sometimes PS4 gets it worse. He’s going to love when I get on my PS4 account again and play like 3 characters LOL.

I also won 4 matches in a row back to back vs the Nash that took me out of Canada Cup (Taji). He’s pretty good, but I’ve been fighting Nashiro’s, Nicory’s and DPfordawins Nashes pretty regularly and they’re all GM/high GM. He also uses VT2 and VT2 is like unless you get the party started it’s not too scary. Especially on a character that has no 3 frame or DP. He had to burn V Reversals to stay in. Same thing I do to G players.

Looking forward to doing a lot of casuals again and buffing up my Ibuki and Kage. Got some stuff to brush up with Falke so I don’t have to 1 and done Diamond Boxers and Bipsons as much. Either way now I can just run Ibuki and Kage for backup.

Going to watch some Teru and Sako Kage and then go to bed.
