Never said it was outright a bad thing. It’s different because I don’t think the footsies are that great. The pokes are great, but the reward is not as strong as say ST or CvS2 or even 3S. I would even argue that most of the time you want the opponent to block in order to eventually set up a Guard Crush.
As for the gameplay, you’d have to give me a little bit to find strictly A/X-Ism play. Most of what I watch comes from a-cho and they rarely go to that format.

Every once in awhile on aCho they run X/A ism characters.
X/Aism Alpha 3 is basically really watered down A2.
It’s not fun mainly because Alpha 3 hit boxes and fireballs aren’t as good as A2s, alpha counters are weaker and Alpha inherently doesn’t have a very link based combo system so your combos with characters like Bison and Blanka are going to be way more basic than even the average SFV or 3S stuff. If you want to play X/A ism A3 you might as well just pop in A2. A3 is cheap V ism game with A Guy/Gen cameo.

X-ism Dhalsim is tops too.
X-ism characters do hella damage actually. But dont know a lot about A3. A3 is like MSHvsSF, sure I could learn about it but why?
Well Dhalsim is just broke in that game. He’s top in every ism basically.
Xism Sakura and a couple others are ok also, but it’s mainly Sim/Vism/A Guy Gen
I like to learn/watch A3 because part of the reason I never got into it was that the console ports were always too shitty to learn it competitively. After seeing more of it now it looks fun and it’s fun to understand the stupid amount of nuances and systems the game has.
CVS2 does a better job of being complicated in a more controlled/easier to visualize fashion, but A3 is fun just because it’s apeshit levels of meta for a SF game.

Plus I know how a lot of guys are with their wives/boos. If they’re doing something controversial you’re going to have their back any way because that’s your lady and she’s doing it for you or doing it for a good reason. He’s got his wife next to him in his twitter profile so if she goes off at the cashier in the mall he’s probably like “yeah, well ya’ll better listen”.

Pretty much. FGC is the rowdy community where people can do that stuff and not be weird like in other gaming communities. We put this on ourselves so we need to be able to handle it without calling CJ’s mom.
I knew he’d play the"its cause were black" card shes not even Cheering shes straight up just Screaming. a similar situation happened with mena and his squad, his boys were screaming wild shit and once people approached them mena used the “its cause im Dominican” card.

I think the “black” thing gets brought in once people start using “ghetto/ratchet” in their complaints.
Those descriptors are just like in sports where old white dudes start calling players thugs if they are talking about physical black players but then it’s tough/gritty/hard nosed when they’re talking about a white guy.
Ghetto may as well be replaced with the “N” word with an ER in that case
