ST only takes skill when Mao wins
that was my point.
You’re missing the nuance, Both the game talked about an update and people are waiting and speculating, as the games never presented themselves as “LIVE SERVICE” of the “TRIPLE A GAMING INDUSTRY” (imagine Jim Sterling voice on that) there is not much in the way of outrage, as it’s mostly seen as good will of a company to keep their audience happy over the long period of time.
When BBtag promised the 5th fate and then said fuck all for 6 months people were needled.
And will probably be again if they make people wait a long fucking time for the next shit as soon as the hype for the new DLC pack dies.
Better attitude than a lot of people who enter tournaments.
If you’re not in the right mindset then you arent in any mindset.
It’s literally the same thing, both companies have said “wait for an announcement!” and for sure, a small portion of one side has cried about the wait, but I’ve never seen a player out of UNIST/GG say “damn well I’m quitting the game because the dev communication is terrible.”
Because it’s dumb. The games survive on their gameplay merits, a lot of SFV following would 110% not be around if content was cut for over a year, we have a very fickle following comparatively.
Hmmm yeah. At first I just looked at it like LUL Beast Mode, but you gotta be in beast mode if you wanna beast that’s true. Know too many people that would never show up to locals because they never felt they were good enough. Better to trick yourself into thinking you can do it all, then believe 100 percent you’re not good enough to get started.
Mobb is a meme and a terrible player but the mindset of believing you’re the best is 10/10, if you don’t believe it yourself fuck if you’re going to believe it fighting some dude who outplays you one time, you’ll mentally give in.
Maybe he isnt at the level but the dude has worked hard. Im in super plat hell because I have an awful attitude towards this game. MobbDeep doesnt though. So he’ll keep on grinding the dumb or smart way and make gains any way he can.
So you’re right. Dude put in a lot of ours and believes in himself. It can seem sort of silly in a cynical world but damned if he isnt really doing it. He may not be successful, but he wont have any regrets.
But it’s not the same thing.
One company started their game with the idea of constant updates, players expect these updates
The other company released the game sand said “off you go, have fun”
It’s like SFV is your birthday present from your family when you’re a child. You’re not entitled to it but you expect it because your parents and society explained to you it’s supposed to be a thing. So when it does not happen you get kinda angry.
UNIST and GG are like that one off toy your parents bought you on a random day because they wanted to make you happy, you are not expecting it to happen on the regular, you know it might happen again, and if it does you’re happy, but if it doesn’t make you angry.
what’s different between waiting for content that has been told is coming with no communication from the dev? The scenarios are exactly the same, but the model of the game differs.
The communities handle these things incredibly differently, it’s not about the model.
not arguing this point, the anime communities are in general happier about their games.
This I can’t believe you don’t get, I don’t have an idea on how to dumb the explanation down further.
There isn’t a difference in scenario, both have built an expectancy to new content and have had subpar community interaction toward it. One community wants to drop/denounce game as dead, the other goes on business as usual.
We on average have more players who are fickle in their investment toward the franchise/community.
k I’m gonna try to walk you there, in hopes you get the nuance.
Before Capcom Cup 2018 did you expect season 4 for street fighter V?
No, lmao.
Here we see the oblivious SFV Fanboy in it’s natural habitate.
You can clearly see, how it lacks any logic and reality passes by it without it noticing.
Xkira’s account was deactivated a while ago… so that means it must be true!
Literally defending anime communities and saying SFV community is fickle yet am in Capcom’s corner here somehow.
Are you really English? because your lack of understanding of the language most of the times would suggest otherwise.
You took a really long time to say you can’t wait to play against Honda and get lagged out by the Australian grass online.
