I played many JRPGs after FFVIII (subsequent FFs, Tales series, Persona series, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, etc. too many to mention) and I never enjoyed any one of them near as much as I enjoyed FFVIII. Gradually, I started to wonder whether I was just looking at the game through rose-tinted nostalgia goggles - until I played it again. I realized that I was right all along, the game is just plain better than all the other RPGs, nostalgic feelings or not.
For those who enjoy trying to level up at multiple games at once, do you guys tend to play one game for an extended period one day and rotate the next, or play every game daily but for a shorter period?
Trying to level up in 4 games at once is getting harder to schedule around
I just play what i feel like playing in that certain day.
I want to improve but in the end it’s just a damn game.I’m not making a job out of it.
Depends, do you mean only leveling in single player, story-driven games, or do you also include grinding in fighting games to rank up? I never play more than one story-driven game at a time, so I can completely focus on that game and that game alone. I will play multiplayer games on the side, though.
I just want Triple Triad HD
Hmm I just play what I feel like playing lmao. I don’t really put to much though into it. Tekken 7 and MK get the most of my time and then there are spurts of SF or some kind of airdasher.
Cucks and soybois happened. I can already see the manbun wearing male feminist that did the art direction of the game. Thank god for Japan.
Just fighting games
The other stuff is to relax my brain before or after a session
…I hope you’re just trolling again
Haven’t really played multiple fighting games consistently for awhile.
As much as I love fighting games, sometimes it feels good to step away and play other stuff.
But then how do you get to UGM if you don’t grind like crazy every day
I suppose it varies. There were some days when I’d be on Ranked for 3-4 hrs, but then there’d be days where I would only play Casual/Lounges and avoid it altogether.
Why would I be trolling Will? I’m 100% serious.
Then you’re even dumber than I thought you were XP
Feminist don’t care what those women think. They have been brainwashed by the patriarchy. Anyone that doesn’t agree with their line of thinking is a mysognist or self-hating woman.
For me, I think setting small goals was what helped me get there. Some people would focus on trying to gain a shit ton of LP in a single setting of several hrs, whereas I’d be good getting a little over 1k in a more shorter session. I feel like the key to Ranked comes down to how you manage your time and goals more so than just throwing yourself into it for countless hrs.
There’s nothing wrong with those who spend countless hrs in Ranked, either. I know quite a few who have gotten way up there in rank doing that. It just isn’t for me.
Harder for that to work when I usually only gain like 20 pts in a 2 hour session
Is there anything in particular you want from Ranked?
To get better
So I can be a useful training partner to people like yourself, or Frost, or any of those other randoms on ranked or anyone else on here
But I’m garbage at adapting and don’t feel like I’m making any progress at all, which just bleeds into my negative outlook on where I stand as a whole with the game (my shitty result at Combo Breaker doesn’t help either)
be good for yourself not for others okay bud, kthxbai
