That’s because he isn’t ready for real rap yet. Give it a couple of years and he will be one if those “I don’t like rap but I like Eminem” types.

Ed’s theme is bad.
It’s not a “do you like rap or not” it’s just regular bad. I don’t even feel it’s fits the character nor the rhythm of SFV very well either. As a result, on top of being bad, it clashes with everything in the game.

tbf yeah it’s kinda bad, but it’s pop rap, just like Abigail’s theme is pop death metal.
I like that SFV’s OST is diverse, so I like those songs, even if they’re bad.
I even appreciate Juri’s terrible Deep House or whatever it’s supposed to be.

Hate is a bit strong.
I can squint and see some potential in Ed’s design. But it’s squandered very badly for reasons I don’t understand.
I just can’t get into him. He just seems like the guy to fill in Cody before Cody and his default outfit is KI levels of overdesigned.

But then again Falke has a trash default as well, but makes up for it with her premium that’s one of the best costumes in the game.

I like Falke’s outfit. I like the Neo Nazi look especially on girl characters. I don’t play Akatsuki Blitzkampf but I love their outfits.

The costume is ok-ish, i mostly dislike the default color it has. Also, i never ran into a Falke that uses her story costume.
Yeah her default color should have been an alt color. The purple with turquoise falls into a bit of overdesign. Like she doesn’t have the personality or backstory required for turquoise lipstick

Pretty much everything about Ed is spot on something I hate. At base I don’t mind his gameplay that much but I’ve had to hack through way too many PPP Eds to not get slightly triggered just by seeing him.
First time back in a bit, catching up. I agree with everyone’s Endgame points, MK11 is still pretty good (still trying to get the basics down), and the second part of Baki on Netflix has one of my favorite moments I’ve seen in anime in a good long while.
The Falke’s default costume isn’t bad, but the default colour just doesn’t quite work for her.
Now, the yellow swimwear with the jacket and the professional ones are really good!
I agree. Falke has some interesting stuff gameplay wise, but she’s even worse aesthetically. On one hand, she looks better than Ed but on the other her design clashes even harder with what little character and style she has.
Basically with Ed, it’s a very badly executed idea. With Falke, it’s no idea in the first place.

So now everyone is acknowledging hitbox is superior for sf5 if you can use one.
It was pretty clear to me especially after sagat dropped and I did some investigating and learned just how big of an advantage hitbox can provide
