I do agree with you that sf2 themes have been remixed to Death every time Capcom went a different route with ryus theme it’s worked out like his CVS theme and his EX series theme

Because it straight up sucks, it’s barely hear-able, it’s slow af, and the synth remix is bad
Kolin’s theme could be bottom 3 but Juri’s is below the bottom of the barrel in terms of music that is bad for a fighting game and also sucks as a music on its own…
all of this, on top of not fitting the chaotic nature of the character as well.

Nothing about Juri’s SFV design makes any sense. Maybe a bad, incongruous theme is the most fitting thing possible.

I’m curious to know how easy it is to find matches on there. I’ve been thinking about picking it up myself.
Obviously depends on the zone but on PS4 it isn’t hard to get matches. Some moments of the day may take like two minutes but creating your own lobby is doable.

Late to the topic but on Juri’s theme :
It’s obviously a downgrade compared to het SF4 theme.The SF4 theme was more suited for combat as it’s very fast paced and intense.
SFV Juri theme is like that eerie music that plays in the background when you are unsure of what’s about to happen,something good,something bad,unpredictable.A wild card,just like Juri.
Overall a good theme to use when Juri is on screen in the story mode but not for anything else.

Too many themes being put up there that don’t have strong melodies. Either that or themes that take way too long to where they want to be.

Actually prefer SFV’s theme over IV’s. It’s recognizable without pandering to pop culture and coming from playing KI really like the guitar emphasis. Indestructible/Next Door is like 3rd Strike’s theme where it’s polarizing who likes it because it throws pop culture music in your face to get you in. Like you either love or hate 3rd Strike’s theme, there isn’t much inbetween.
I just don’t care for Jpop singing during my SF. The instrumental/game mode arrangements of Next Door are easier on the ears, but I still get reminded of the pop song and just tune out of it. Even the game arrangements of it go for the really high picthed guitar synth stuff that’s hard to take serious after a while. Makes it too much like you’re watching an after school cartoon.

Yall can dislike Juri’s theme but its not worse than Ed’s. Hers is bad nightclub remix that doesn’t fit well, but Ed’s is a terrible mockery of an entire genre.
