There’s a reason I reposted when I started playing and the amount of (ranked) matches I’ve played since then. I haven’t put in the effort or time to improve, and I don’t feel I can call my current level “good” considering that and what I’ve mentioned before, and that’s on top of having a character crisis every other week 'cause I struggle to find something that clicks in this game.

Akuma has really fast walk speed so you can walk forward then walk back. You’re gonna use st.mk as your shimmy button because its huge, fast and cancelable into tatsu, dp for the punish.
Ryu can use…the standing mp target combo, cr.mp xx special or cr.mk xx special. Season 1 he could dash forward, dash back and standing roundhouse too. You can defo walk back and do cr.mk xx joudan though.
To bring up an old topic, new Weekly Missions are active, and the 2500FM mission is again absent. The four current missions total 1050FM, with two more 2-day missions to follow. Which means the week-long total will most likely be somewhere from 1150FM to 1350FM, and most likely towards the lower end of that range.
If you’re at a distance after a jab where you’d have to walk forward to throw them, you can just take a step back and catch them teching. You could also do that to whiff punish people who do jabs and other silly things to defend themselves from tick throws.
This is a good wakeup call. I think I’m just gonna stick it out with ed. He might be shit but out of all the characters I’ve played he has the most stuff that I need and I can play him at a highest level with very little experience in playing him.
I’ll never reach my potential with him probably, but he has everything I need so fuck it.

I see grand master players on stream getting sad after a loss and saying they suck unironically. I was watching Ceelow stream (GM Sakura) lose to a Kolin and he just got straight triggered and walked off stream lmao he was so bummed over his loses. Brian F also shits on himself allot. These guy would wash majority of us and they still see themselves as slightly above average.

I think his normals are pretty crap tbh. But that was till I played kage. He will make anyone feel like they’ve got amazing normals. I just don’t have the patience to level up kage. My neutral with g is good. But get knocked down once and lose the round so fuck that. Urien loses to characters that have good jumpin bs and as amazing as people say his trigger is, I’ve never been able to make it good on block, plus people neutered the character with their bitching and now his CC game is fucking terrible. 90% of the time I hit a CC with him I’m out of range to get any meaningful conversion.
I’ll probably keep zeku as a second. He’s hard to use if you don’t put in the time, but I like him a lot.

For me I use stagger pressure to denote an artificial gap where you specifically walk forward.
So any characters 1 hit link confirm medium, walk forward, medium. Etc
I use delay to denote a string where I don’t move forward or backward, but simply delay my input. I’ll use delays mostly after blocked cr.lp if my tick throw doesn’t require me to walk forward.
