Time to revisit my old main again.
Short of outrageous prices for characters i don’t really care what they do to push content out. It’s still going to be much higher value than what the non fg world pays for.
I agree its a ton of dlc but im pretty sure this isnt like how devs hold content out or hold content back to sell it off later.
Thats actually available in season 3.
Got a feeling since more people are going to play him there’s gonna be a bunch of fake buffs that were already there

I don’t see SF6 happening so soon, 2022 I think. They’ve spent resources for the cabs in Japan just now, after witnessed SFV start I prefer Capcom to take their time for the next chapter. And you know what? SF6 could be even worse than SFV, so I’m not in a hurry.
I hate when Capcom say ‘soon’ because their soon it’s different than mine.

If the sony deal holds, I could legit see SF6 as a launch or launch window game for Playstation 5. Big win for both companies as sony gets a marquee title on launch(which they have always struggled with) and being a launch game will def help SF6 sales.

Season 5 would start holiday 2019, 5 year plan realized and fulfilled at the end of it.
Playstation 5 launching on holiday 2020 is basically a given at this point, which would basically meet SFV at the end of its lifecycle and they put a bullet in the back of its head launching SF6 on ps5, just like they did to usf4

Still, it’s funny you mention the playerbase, I was just going to argue that if there’s a fighting game worth playing on pc that’s SFV since it has crossplay.
Oh, and you don’t have to pay Sony in order to play online
Yes it is one of our greatest national shames that PC SFV players are nothing more than VAMPIRES sucking on the lifeblood of the ps4 community

Watching Daigo stream some Kage right now. He’s clearly having fun, and he’s doing okay because he’s Daigo, but it’s making it pretty obvious how gimmicky Kage’s whole approach game is.
If you can anti-air, and know how to handle his V-skill, Kage’s going to have a bad day.

Sfv checklist. We know what makes actual good characters. I dunno why people aren’t just looking at him objectively. I’d call it right now but I’ve only got about 2 hours with the patch so i haven’t been able to check
Kage has everything that makes an sf5 character good EXCEPT strong ranged normals.
He has neutral crash, solid AA. Two of the top v triggers in the game, ex reversal, command grab, +2 on hit special that doesn’t KD, 3 frame normal, ways to cover both quick and backrise (because he doesn’t have to) hkd
Huge damage, plus on block special that moves him forward, actual tick throws, strong shimmy game, weak>medium that traps 3 framers. Medium>medium that traps 3 framers, medium>heavy link, one of the fastest crossups in the game, best cr.mk xx fireball in the game…
If he’s weak, that would be exceptionally surprising.

If a character has one or 2 things they’re probably low tier. Many things =top tier. I should figure out some point values.

Kinda need 30k FM for Kage. Do Trials still give FM?
Edgelord shotos are never worse than like high mid. They always get some real extra shit and low health is always the balance.
