Laura brings out eveyone’s inner salty bitch. Few things will make someone 1-and-done like having a game either stolen or almost stolen from them and she is good it. I’ve had Guiles - Guile of all characers - do that after winning a game.

I’m exploring other options. I’ve played Laura since mid-S2 but with S4 I’m seriously considering a switch to someone that may fit my temperament better. Either Birdie or Kolin is what I’m thinking. I know a very little with Kolin, and I know even less than Birdie so I wanted to throw her into the fires and see what came out.

I do find myself giving the benefit of the the doubt maybe it’s my internet but it’s solid afaik. I’ve had a bunch of one and dones two rage quitters one of the rqs gave up in the second round and pulled the cable right before I ko’d and a kage who I’m pretty sure used a lag switch. It’s been a interesting day to say the least.
When I was trying to get momentum going yesterday I had a Nash player that I’m fucking certain pulled the plug when I was en route to winning the first round of our second game (he even won the first one FFS).
People are bitches online.

Oh I’m aware…it’s just one of my twitch reactions I can’t seem to get rid of when I see X option.
Like I know in my head that I can get a better punish but my muscle memory is to just jab or throw it.

Low health characters are almost always decent in SF. The only bad low health characters I can recall from the last decade were Yang just for AE 2012 and pre Ultra SF4 Chun.
I’d be surprised if Kage was any worse than mid tier.

You did alright I would say. Won the first 3/5 even. I basically lost to thunder kick so I need to build up the muscle memory to remember to react to it. I always just default to low block vs shotos but I forget that sitting on the toilet vs Ken = death. If I’m desperate I can always try backdashing to reset myself. I realized I wasn’t using enough air fireball mix ups after the first set so I adjusted that and actually made an attempt to block the overhead lol.
VT2 not a bad choice vs Falke but there was a few times where the hit box was wonky or you misjudged the spacing for it. He can basically beat her without v trigger any way.
You’re definitely getting a bit better with your offense you just need to commit to it more. Oh andyeah both v skill and f+HP are minus 10 so dont be afraid to throw a long button at those moves if you’re close enough. EX tatsu is the easiest punish but requires meter. The only other thing you have to worry about is v trigger because then she can cancel them
I mean he’s clearly a good character. Like I said though he’s not insta top tier for me. If I were to put a rating on him in these early days I’d say he’s about the shoto level between S3 Ken and S3 Akuma.
He’s not as good as S3 Akuma for me.

Yeah nobody was saying he was top tier, just trying to correct people that are saying he is bad or underwhelming. He’s neither of those.
I think a fair few people were saying easy top tier/broken.
