BB characters are weeb trash even by Street Fighter standards. Niggas don’t want to play that.

If you think that’s all Guile’s game was I think you need to re-evaluate things
I would say it’s the other way around.
I still miss super jump height and flight stuff. Marvel still just plays a way that tag really doesn’t. BB tag is the most marvel anime game, but it’s still an anime game first overall. I want bullshit people pulling the camera away shit and metal/cape wearing dudes doing shit.
As a game it’s definitely worth playing, just don’t care for the overall aesthetic of the characters enough to get into it. It’s half of the problem I have with DBFZ. Shitty ass IP that I don’t care about but then also can’t stand the way the game plays.

Also, BB has alot of really great character designs… but I won’t stick up for all of them.
I suppose I could say that about damn near any game though, just depends on what stupid cliff that particular series like to jump off.

Ok. So you basically like characters with some sort of dangerous ranged move. Not all your characters have big normals but most do and those that don’t have ranged specials or something cheap to that effect (yang divekick) and adding that lots are “tech” characters like dj said.
Going by this for sf5 it’s pretty easy to find your character. This list screams:
Menat is number 1 with a bullet, the list screams for her wit the tech v trigger, yang style divekick, ranged normals for defensive play but can still be offensive with orbs and trigger.
Urien is pretty close with tech trigger, big normals and fireball
After that birdie is a good look.
And finally just to round it out, Chun.
And double finally… give sim a look. You might be surprised and like his floaty shenanigans and ranged neutral.

Hard to say that about SF. They’ve done a good job containing the weeb. Sure, they let some steam out but they aren’t BlazWeebing like ArcSys.
BlazWeeb Cosplay Hype Battle is sick though. DevilJin just avoiding the inner weeb all black people his age hide inside of them.

Not weeb, but S F loves “dumb” and “Silly” designs. And while I agree that SFV is pretty good… there’s still some really wonky designs. See Ed and Falke.
Also while the FGC (and myself) really like G, most muggles that see him then to react with a wtf.
Like I said, different cliff.
I always try to think of a BB character I would generally like, but I don’t like any of them. I just think they’re all of that Fate Stay/Fairy Tail looking crap that I can’t stand. Everybody looks like a princess, priest or a deity from some castle. Maybe that’s part of the storyline, but just doesn’t interest me. Most anyone else that isn’t that is some weird kawaii desu thing.
The ninja guy Bang reminds me of Hokotumaru from Garou. Just real slap stick dorky ninja. I was planning on using Blake/Jin in BB Tag, but Blake would be the only character I liked on the team because early 2000s gun/sword combo characters always works for me guy or girl. Jin I can’t stand the way he looks at all but he’s top support.
Uniel characters are much more my style design wise. Some of them are that Blazblueish stuff, but the ones that are generally have a more serious demeanor and stuff like Carmine, Gordeau and Merkava are right up my alley. Somewhat deranged serious/monster type characters. Persona is a mixed bag where a few of them like Mitsuru work for me great, then everything else is more shit that I can’t stand.
