You play Ibuki tho
Yeah but her default outfit was very scruffy. She was just a dirty looking ninja who was a school whore under. She isn’t ultra kawaii in her basic appearance like all that super anime shit.
sigh… I guess…
This guy gets it.
I am sensing some disdain for Science Cat that I’m not sure I like
FWIW I played Laura (badly) since mid S2 and I’ve switched to G recently. They are both characters that want to and can maul the opponent but they do it in different ways.
To do well with Laura you have to really want to and be good at getting close and keeping the pressure up. She is good once you get her there but closing can be tough depending on the char. She is all about close mix ups into stun into death. It is very, very fun when it works.
In my limited experience G trades off the up close sustained pressure for being less lost in the neutral. He can even keep some chars out okay if he gets prez levels. And he still shits out damage just in big combo chunks which I’m enjoying more but that is also a personal preference thing.
As far as defense goes I agree with the discussion that they are essentially on the same footing. Laura is technically better off with the 3 framer and the armored move but realistically if you’re getting pressured with either character you need to block a bunch and try to get out the old fashioned way.
I’m definitely more of an anime game player (not the aesthetic, but the gameplay style). So SF style games are always a bit out of my element.
But I hear you. The longer BB went on the more and more cringy it got (again, only talking aesthetics)
Yeah i’m more used to the grungy weirdos in old Guilty Gear. New Guilty Gear is going more of that kawaii pokemon route so I’m mentally out of that too.
Elphelt and Bedman were on some dumbshit too.
Guile’s zoning game is still arguably the strongest in the game regardless of how some tier whores may play.
More importantly he has offense to match it. Sagat’s zoning is real legit now, but he just has the same problem that Falke and Ryu have. Doesn’t have the offense to match it and you need to be able to bash people’s heads in sometimes even if you’re a zoner.
Menat > Guile when it comes to space control. Guile’s sobat nerf was gigantic to his ability to control space in front of him.
I just hated how it was almost always a bad idea to neutral jump lp boom. You either landed on it or he was right there under it to anti air you with something. So if you didnt have auto pilot anti boom moves or get in now at plus frames ex moves you just got fucked
Fireball zoning is how i should have put it… But Menat got some tough nerfs too. No doubt affecting her ability to control space and keep people out.
Menat’s zoning got berfed effectively. s.HP got nerfed, s.MP got buffed and s.MP is basically as big of a problem. s.HP still works also.
Slap on the wrist compared to the Sobat nerf Guile took, his Sobat is fucking garbage now and it was the normal that held a lot of his game together
Menat’s space control is basically as strong as it always has been, the only thing that got nerfed significantly is her VT1 is harder to get
She’s still gonna slap you around the same as always until then
L sonic boom was one of those obviously broken moves. Guile’s zoning game was very strong. His neutral game was also powerful and once he got going so was offense. To keep you out almost free and to be able to get in for free was silly.
Basically J.Wong Menat got buffed. Sako Menat got nerfed.
You should play bbtag because it has just as much dirt as marvel does. Cross combos can get kind of ridiculous and chip damage in resonance is even crazier than ice storm lol
