Yeah, she has armor with EX Elbow I think, but the thing with armor moves in this game is that usually it’s not available on frame 1 and in the last patch they made them even more unsafe than they were before (it should be universally -17 on block now).

Armor is usually active on frame 3 like the invincibility meterless DP’s.

Gief getting oki from meterless knockdown, and having the necessary normals to play as a wall again is probably a giant red flag for a lot of the Japanese top players.

I think Abigail gets frame 1 armor on his EX Run when he’s in V-Trigger 1, but I don’t know if there are other cases (maybe Birdie has something like that, and even then it’s still probably just V-Trigger stuff).
Ugh Jp thinks gief is Top 6? That doesn’t sound good for Sakura and Balrog. Don’t think I’ve run into any giefs in Season 4. Rather fight shitface blanka and Cody than gief when he’s good.
Yea like pertho said having a reversal is negligible in sfv. You still get mauled if you have one.
…that more applies to how I handle lab time than it does how I play though

Yup Birdie’s trigger ex bullhead armor is frame 1. His defensive game goes up nice once he’s in trigger.
He also has some of the best preemptive defensive options with his trash and f+HP with armor. In S2 it was OD cuz his EX command grab had throw invincibility also. Not to mention bullhorn pushed his hurtbox back. Half the time you were in a mix up trying to pressure trigger Birdie and if you hesitated he back threw you in the corner and then good luck.
Nah a form of Q deserves to be good for once, it’s been almost 2 decades of waiting for this for us unfortunate Q mains
sidenote: I don’t think I’ve seen a single Guile ever since the patch… the nerfs must have gotten him bad huh because Cammys are still a relative occurrence
The days of throwing a LP boom and having it shield you are over so all of the fairweather Guile players who don’t actually know how to zone have left. Those are mostly the ones that would throw a LP sonic boom or v skill sonic boom once in a blue moon and then start jumping around like Ryu players once they figure out you can deal with that.
Last Guile player I fought threw like 5 sonic booms the whole ranked set and beat him 2 0. Guile players don’t zone anymore.

Guile is still good. The patch just weeded out the tier whores from the real Guile players. The character is still very good. Same shit happened with Urien and Boxer after they got normalized.

Flash Kick losing throw invinc made me a lil happy, Guiles liked using that to avoid the throw
Yeah I know that changed killed Daigo. That was halfway to a meterless dp really. The hit box on flash kick is good in neutral in general.
ISDD is the EX flash kick king though so he’s fine.

I was gonna play BB Tag, but it ain’t Marvel and I’d rather just play SF until more Marvel. I’m not anime enough to play the other stuff and just get tired of the little girl characters and the little girl music. Skullgirls was the only little girl character game I could really do.
