Helena or Christie might be a better choice then. Helena is basically DoA’s premiere stance character while Christie can cancel a lot of her moves into omnidirectional rolls for mixups (as the rolls themselves can then be cancelled into strikes, grabs etc.).
I’ve never been a fan of stance/roll motherfuckery. Feels too gimmicky for me, like I’m winning solely because my opponent doesn’t know what’s going on.
Straightforward and well rounded is more my kind of thing. Think Leo or Devil Jin from Tekken, who are great at controlling the pace of the game but can run away with the game in an instant if the opponents hesitates or makes a mistake.
You’re not on by any chance mocha!? No idea of times
Just played a Master Cody called hado lucky. You have my blessing Frosty , you were better.
Didn’t rematch me, although the Conn was fine.
Frosty confirmed best Cody in Europe.
Edit: Beat him again twice. Frost still best Cody EVA!
Stop being so mean to Ed!
He went out of his way to save Falke and help others like him! He’s a good boy!
Working .
I used to play French people without issues in SF4, but in SF5…they lag a lot.
I’m working homie, next time
Sorry I was busy or I would have played just got home, EU queue makes master rank feel like diamond
If she gets to use her feet for the command grab,i wouldn’t even be mad.
Godlike photo
Ok, I really have to learn when I can press buttons and when I cannot.
Is there a list somewhere so that I can finally learn when I should QR/BR and what is fake and what is not?
training mode
That would be an enormous list at this point, every knockdown for every character for every resource situation.
Probably a better use of your time just to vary your wake ups at random, and pay attention to what your current opponent seems to be going for
If you take the game seriously, then it isnt all that bad. But people arent hitting up training mode for the fine details in this game.
I am adjusting wake ups, but that is not enough.
I don’t need to know every situation, just what is real.
As for the training mode, I don’t have that much free time and I swore not to give any money to Capcom until they fix netcode, so I don’t have access to all characters.
And it’s not that complicated. For example, if I were to write it down for Akuma, it would be several lines of text.
Okay, but I don’t know what to tell you then. Nobody seems to be passing around a crib sheet.
just use training mode
It was a lot easier in SF4, as this forum was great.
I could try searching on Discord, but that would work only if there are pinned messages. A lot of junk there.
Just hit up training mode. Hell, take some notes like I do if you have trouble remembering stuff or you want a quick reference between sets. I keep it on my phone so I can quickly pull up that or FAT.
Well that’s it for me , long trip back. Good playing you Jin and Frost! Both very strong players, I’ll chuck a few matches of my European Adventures on my you tube I’m a few days and maybe a FT5 with el Frost monster.
and remember!
“You won’t take a set off my Cody”
Old man still has the keys to the car. I’ll give you another two years practice my boy!
