SFV Lounge: Menat BUFFED, F2P SFV coming, CCCC COMBO BREAKERS coming

This is all fair enough, but I still think he looks cool, and in a more timeless way. Not in the more “generic” way like Laura or Rashid.

Also I forgot G. G is awesome. He is both the same as Q and the complete opposite. He has all the mystery that Q did, but it’s all loud and in your face rather than quiet. It’s the definition of hiding in plain site and I love it.

Zeku is pretty good too, but I hate stance switch characters with a passion. Give me one full character not two half characters dammit.

Did I ever mentioned that I find the wake up system in this game really bad and that most of the time I feel like I’m the one being mixed up for scoring a kd?:expressionless:
Online and low active frames normals don’t help. Oh,how good it feels to miss your 3 active frames manually timed meaty and eat a punish, thx capcom

Or just get rid of his neutered form and replace it with his VT form permanently. Balance everything around that.

I kinda like that idea actually. It works for Akuma/oni/Kage

Honestly this is so fucking true its unreal.

3 is more than enough to manual, it’s pretty easy

when throws had 2 actives, it was kinda tough. Now it’s fine.

not for my terrible reactions and sloppy hands sadly, it still feels like the game is designed to have bad players having some chances at avoiding post KDs pressure

would have been the same for you in other games then, idk why you think this is specific to V.

I’m sad I can’t fight Jin in a good connection like everyone else can. He could be apart of my level up EXP but Capcom wont let me have that. On the interesting side me and Pookie play like 4 times a week on average and we used to have some of the worst connections. I remember the connection being so bad it made Pookie straight up leave the game for a while. But I haven’t heard him say anything about it for like half a year now. And I’m glad cuz he’s basically the only person I fight that has any sense of neutral outside of the tourney guys I run into online.

I’d play Frost everyday if it wasn’t a slideshow for him. Beek hates me now and Jerom doesn’t like the game anymore. I need to get some clout so I can beg for games from all the pros. I ran a few sets with Callisto but he’s an UGM Menat and he gets bored of people that basically aren’t at his level so that shit dried up.

@Doctrine_Darc We should play more often. I’m not just saying that, I need more Cammy experience since I like the MU. It feels nice having an EZ mode CC that I can spam against her heheheheheheheheeeeee

But seriously please keep training with me lol

Also I don’t really care what rank you are if you people are in the west and want to play me just hit me up. Even if you lurk just shoot me an invite but please please hit me up on the discord or here because I hate it when random people send me invites.

I thought other FGs didn’t have up to 3 different timings, GG for example don’t have those, characters have their own specific timing but iirc they can’t even delay tech (it’s been a while since I checked the game mechanics tho)

GG actives are longer for a lot of moves to cover for the air momentum/juggles n shit, but it’s still easy to fuck up a meaty in any FG. Vs meaty system is piss, it was a bit more problematic in S1 when actives were lower on more things.

so you agree with me? Or did you meant to write “piss easy”?

piss = easy for us teadrinkers

but yeah, meaties are easy. You just need to train them adequately.

training is a thing, executing them online another. Most of the time I’m not even messing my meaty but the dash before, you just need to be 1 frame late to miss your meaty

doing it in a real match IS training

At this point I just see it as an execution thing. All SF’s have their execution things and the knockdown system is part of it. They don’t give you OG setplay unless you land an HKD off a CC sweep/certain supers or pick a character with a huge launch attack or standing reset centric gameplay.

I don’t mind the knockdowns in this game because they’re more like Alpha or 3S where you actually get space sometimes after a knockdown. The knockdowns in those games are more loose with the quick roll and tech options. In A2 if Rose throws you she can kinda get a cross up but its not real scary or definite either. Only a few characters like Sakura get real set play off their throws or most knockdowns. Usually after landing a super. 3S is similar.

SF2/IV/Guilty Gear play around the OG “bnb must lead to knockdown which must lead to situation” ABC thing, but the games I’ve played the most don’t really revolve around that or have characters that are really strong that don’t play around it.

Marvel is also another game where hard oki is not really a thing and mostly discouraged (due to the way wake up and meter/assist blow up works). Air resets in Marvel 3 and Infinite are more common for “set play” in Marvel but aren’t quite as definite as oki knockdown stuff either.

Soulcalibur VI is the third game with most participants, nice.

I just don’t want to get punished for failing to recognize a wake up animation or not having some robotic execution, if you get knocked down in the first palce you should hold that, next time try to play a better neutral

the inverse can be said for you fucking up the meaty, because the ball is completely in your park. It’s not the games fault

I find it much easier to manually time my meaties with lights than anything else.
