SFV Lounge: Menat BUFFED, F2P SFV coming, CCCC COMBO BREAKERS coming

Lol this nigga Kevin Gates got a Ryu tattoo.

Edit: I see what looks like Sagat and a Tekken character too. Got Dhalsim in the middle.

I swear rappers love mafia movies and fighting games.

Well if she can turn invisible then they should bring back Falke’s flight mode.

Why the fuck does Bison have I frames on his forward dash. Juri can’t duck high fireballs anymore with hers, and Nash has slower walkspeed than Bison with nothing.

Lol at editing out the “but muh Juri”.

Because he has trouble getting in, like Yun did in AE.

The only AA I ever used and needed with her was st.mk. Going to neutral to AA was easy. But AAing divekick s was impossible.

This is why when shizza beat ken I, and after that when valmaster beat Justin Wong, shit was lit. Because she never had easy game versus divekickers.

Gets even more in trigger mode too. Hes a real pain in the ass. I’ve actually had a strategy to just jump out the trigger and to just keep jumping , it’s a total spazzy noob way to deal with it, but I’d rather take the air damage because that V1 can literally end you.

Can you link some matches where Chun players are struggling against Akuma’s aerial toolset?
I have problems in that matchup, I have to be doing something incorrectly.

…ok I play her since the beginning but what is this about

Funny enough, not really. The way the matchup plays out at top level is different from the lower level where people complain about his aerial shit a lot.

Haitani, Otani and Tokido are the only Akumas I watch (mainly becuase they’re the only ones that regularly get Youtube footage any way) and they all play the matchup very grounded. Akuma can play the matchup from the ground plenty fine and they only even start to do aerial stuff usually when they pop v trigger.

Those matches show how the matchup goes at top level. Pretty grounded minus the occasional air ex flip or v trigger air fireball. If you’re an Akuma player you gotta have your ground game down and if you’re Chun you have to have whatever anti air shit you have down to a tee also to force the Akuma to play more grounded.

Maybe some Arthuro Ray (Akuma) vs ChuChu can give some answers since Arthuro is a very fly happy Akuma player:

Ok, I did not get that we are talking about low tier players. I agree then.
It is tougher playing on ground now as both fireball and cr.fp were nerfed. You can still win id your footsies are good, mine aren’t.

In the Brazilian matches the Akuma player keeps using bad angled air fireballs that get ex legs punished pretty easily. I guess that’s part of why the Japanese don’t bother with it much once she has meter.

Funny thing, that Akuma player is UGM and considered the best Akuma player in Brazil.
He fought against Itazan at the Jam Festival grand finals here in Brazil last year.

Such weird ass matches. Idk what’s happening there but the Akumas fireballs are either not hitting chuns st.lk (they ALWAYS hit mine) and sometimes the akuma doesn’t even confirm the air fireball which is like the easiest thing to do, ever.

I think the chun is doing hyper early st.lk to where it hits in later active frames and recovers before the airfireball hits her. She was doing it to his demonflip k as wel” and that also blows up her st.lk AA.

Interesting “tech” to say the least.
