Sanfords Oni was always hype. His aerial demons were tremendous!
Lifes too short to spend time on stuff you dont enjoy. But does he not enjoy SF5 or not enjoy not winning?
There comes a time in any competitive endeavor when young guys start taking over. Its natural. I can’t hang with the higher level competition guys at my gym anymore. I can teach them… But probably not beat anymore despite having more knowledge.
Is Sandford an 09er? If he is then his attitude towards the game is wrong. Like my 09er friends…they will take the chance to shit on the game any opportunity they can. And they are proud of not touching sfv. They’ll proclaim like I’ve never touched the game in 2 months or 6 months. Etc.
They’ll talk about sfv being all 50/50. It’s a guessing game. The skill level needed to play is so low etc.
Or they’ll say that many pros have dropped sfv but totally ignore how many new blood have joined sfv. If the attitude is like that then there is no wonder why he isn’t finding success in sfv. Its his mentality. Not his skill level.
The whole pick a high toer option while sound advice, isnt always the best because, do you actually function well with said high tier? If the high tier is anti your style, probably have about the same success with them as a midtier you love.
Like none of the high tier in this game is really my style. All are pretty much set in how they play. Closest is cammy but since i cant cancel confirm her cr.mk and i dont have a fireball with her, i could never play her to the best of my own potential.
All he had to do was pick Akuma. Literally a shoto that plays like the other shoto’s but better. Or just stick with Ken. There’s a pretty massive gap between those two and when he picked up zeku ( before S4).
Like I totally get playing who you love, but you either have to deal with your pick and find solutions or pick a better character. This constant battle against the game and the characters can’t be right for your frame of mind.
I mean we all do it, but none of us are striving for Pro status. We are online randoms.,
“Pick a top tier” was a good way of saying “pick the character that provides you with the biggest chance of winning based on your personal strengths and weaknesses as a player”. That’s the actual message. If you’re, say, a risk taker, you don’t play Menat over Laura even if the former’s a better character.
Yeah I feel like particularly in this game though, we are all firing very similar guns, just some guns have better bullets. So it’s kinda like Mocha said about why play Ken when you could play Rashid etc.
Where as in SF4 Ryu really wasn’t like Ken who really wasn’t like Akuma etc who really wasn’t like Sagat etc.
That’s why you can shoot down a character in the tier list within a week.
Hey guys. Posting here on behalf of my friend. He’s been playing SFV since launch and never had any problems. Since the Sagat/G patch, he’s been having problems with his stick. He sent me 2 videos which I just uploaded for you guys to see.
So what happens is, direction buttons can work only in control settings/button config page. Outside of the button config/control setting page, it magically stops working. Any idea how to resolve this?
Had a similar problem. I have a dual modded HRAP with an Xbox One PCB in it. The PS3 PCB’s directions have suddenly stopped working since the newest patch. Weird part was that it wasn’t immediately happening during after the newest patch. It just randomly started a few days after as I was trying to get help fixing the computer. Now only the Xbox One PCB directions work correctly with the stick. Easy fix for me, but if you don’t have an alternative stick or dual mod PCB then obviously a problem.
Since someone else seems to be having the issue I’ll start plugging in other sticks and controllers and see what happens.
I encounter a problem with the steam version of SFV too.
When I want to play 2 player vs mode, I plug in 2 sticks, but my 2nd stick always goes undetected.
I have to take my dualshock 4, plug it in and register it as the 2nd player. Once it’s registered, I take my 2nd stick, plug it in, then it registers.
I don’t know why it’s so troublesome with SFV. I don’t have this problem with Tekken 7 and Soul Calibur 6.
What’s baffling is I bought a brand new PC. Every part is new including the casing.
I thought the stupid problem where the stick on the 2 player side would be resolved. But it’s still there.
So I don’t know what the heck is causing this problem. I initially thought it’s some driver problem on my old pc. But even on my brand new pc with new totally brand new parts (Cpu, mobo, gpu, ram, SSD, HDD, casing), and I still encounter the same problem.
It’s as if Capcom hired retards to do the controls for the steam version. USF4 was simply plug and play. I don’t know why they regressed in SF5.
Depends on the pad. For one, DS4 doesn’t have x input drivers, so they would be having this very same problem unless they were running a pad with native x input driver.
