Menat is well rounded
I wouldn’t say so: she relies a lot on V-Trigger and her VT1 nerf in Season 4 is huge for her because of it, she has amazing neutral but if she has to deal with really aggressive rushdown like Rashid’s she’s going to have problems, she doesn’t have a reversal outside of Super and stuff like walkspeed or meterless punishes are not great.
She’s good, probably still very good in Season 4, but she has obvious and pretty significant weaknesses in my opinion.

Well rounded means, all the tools and the better these tools are the more a character gets moved to the right.
Menat has no reversal and is generaly fucked when pressured.
Plus she’s super reliant on her V-Trigger.
Ryu,Cammy,Ken,Akuma and Necalli are very well rounded
Chun-Li, Juri would still be well rounded.

It actually is.
She has obvious weaknesses, definitly a character with faults.
Put Menat next to Abivroom and put Sakura on the other side. Falke closer to the mid, Juri onto the well rounded side. Cody also needs to be closer to the mid and Kolin more left.
Bison is also a character with faults, he should be a bit to the left side, Mika too. Necalli onto the well rounded side more.
Miria made it better. Think he has the better understanding here.

Thinking that on paper toolset defines well rounded attributes, rather than application of tools within MUs.
Gief could be well rounded if his MU charter was 5-5 into his worst, but it isn’t.
That’s actually been around for a year or so now. Pretty nice set up against big bodies and works with either VT. But for some reason some of the big bodies like Sagat and G crouch too low despite being so tall.
One other thing you should be aware of. If you go for the overhead immediately than the EX shaku hits twice and the juggle state is much more limited(only EX DP I think). If you delay and do it when it hits once then you get anything I think, even normals. That’s what Tokido was doing because he didn’t want to burn 2 bars on that set up since he was using VT2.

Don’t know what you mean by well rounded. That literally means a character has multiple tools from different archetypes and can handle multiple situations well.
It has nothing to do with strength of the toolset. Dan is well rounded, but he’s bad.
Ed has reversal, 3 frame, true tick throw, fireball, DP and normal AA, ranged poke in st.hk, cancelable cr.mk, safe on block special, comeback v trigger, reset 50/50’s, light>medium that traps 3 framers, +3 lights and medium, safe on block CC in st.hp, ham with charged st.hp and charged v skill, fast hard to see dash.
He might not be great but it’s hard to see how he’s not well rounded.

How can Bison be TT when he has so many faults and average to bad match ups. That is the antithesis of what a top tier is.
Menat also had pretty big flaws and she still worked pretty well.
But then again: it’s just early impressions. Until we see tournaments none of these tier lists matter at all.

Thing is does Kage actually have any cross up mix ups? Everytime I see Kage tech on twitter I think - I can just hold back and block all of that.
Maybe I need to play a good Kage. Feels like at the moment it’s just people not familiar with reactions to his stuff.

He has a bunch of fake stuff thats legit fake. Not like Ken running fake.
Red fireball teleport is negative if he crosses up. Instant air cross up ex tatsu doesn’t hit crouching opponents.
He does have the dive kick no dive kick jump in mix ups tho.

He’s got instant air ex tatsu that crosses up and is probably unseeable… problem is it wiffs crouchers…LOL
He has various crossup teleport mixups and he has untechable KD off of any confirm.
Whether he will get better stuff is up to the tech wizards out there. I don’t have the patience to try and develop it.
Look at ibuki, took Xian to find her crossup stuff then she skyrocketed.

Yeah that’s the only real use I could think of as well. What other times would someone not be crouching when kage is point blank?
