Sakura is only a character when she’s in your face. Everyone isn’t stuck on walk forward. Other characters throw good fireballs, fish for CC, skip neutral specials, have real mid range buttons and robbery triggers. Sakura literally does none of that. Akuma does it all infinitely easier than she does.
If your gonna mash cr hp youll get whiff punished like a bitch. Demon flips can be jabbed out of. And requires advanced setups to be made safe. St hk whiffs on crouchers. Both tatsus are unsafe af. st hp is the only normal confirmable but it’s -5 ob.
I mean low ranks play to the strengths your stating and get bodied. The character has an abysmal win rate. Also to optimize akuma at highest level is really difficult.
Sakura on the other hand has safe specials ob, 4 active frame meaty button, and easier combos. All of her buttons and specials hit crouchers. And her dashes and jumpins are harder to deal with.
If a beginner asked me which one to play i’d suggest sakura.
Sakura and Akuma are the best SFV Shotos. Kage comes in next.

Anyway you clearly dont understand when i say easy to play. Using your logic ibuki must be braindead easy to use. If your relying on bullshit to get past the neutral then you wont get far.
This game is built on bullshit. St. Hk is slow trash and heavy tatsu is AA’d with fucking ease. Sakura that isn’t in your face ain’t shit. You literally have nothing to worry about other than dash or jump.
And get far based on what? I have a diamond boxer and another diamond account playing Mika/Juri…
Characters that rely on fundamentals tend to have the lowest win rate. Cammy is also for the most part fundamentals based and for the past 3 seasons had bottom 3 win rate.
Akuma on the other hand supposedly has a lot of easy mode bullshit to dismantle you (which is true to an extent) but his winrate is low.
Your arguing that akuma is easier to play street fighter because of demon flips, but thats not the bar you should be setting. Its about playing to the fundementals. How easy are combos, main whiff punish button, how easy to cover both wakeups, meaty options, dash ins, hit confirms, ability to get mix ups, being safe on block with a special.
That should be the bar you should be comparing the chars.
Not once have I said anything demon flips despite how many times you bring it up.
Akuma has easy combs, easy whiff punishes, easier and better oki, easier meaty buttons, his dash is 16 frames just like sakuras and how are his mixups not easier/better especially compared to Sakura?

S hk isnt slow, it hits crouchers and has 12 startup frames and decent range/ Your arguing that sakura’s trash and easy to beat. That has nothing to do with my argument. Looks you have an axe to grind. Maybe your salty you keep losing with the char.

I’d say all of that is easier for sakura (h dp gives you oki even on backrise). But with akuma the reward is much better. St mk ~ l tatsu ~ h tatsu.
To me with sakura you got a less to think about when playing the character and her specials are all easy sailing. You just gotta watch a video to figure about what she can do. With akuma you got more to think about.
Imo akuma is a better character. Sakura’s just easier for beginners and for people who want to get into this char archetype. I’d recommend ryu after sakura btw. Akuma last behind ken.
Ultimately though they’re all easy to play on a basic level.

I’m worried about Kitana and Mileena though.
Also I consider any button with double digit startup slow

If you think Akuma is harder than Sakura you ain’t played them. Hell dime was giving me trouble with his 6 minute old Akuma.
I saw spaceboy beat Mhike 2 0 pretty clean a few days ago. Made good use of her s.hp buffer in the match
