Looks like typical Abigail stuff
LOL Jibbo is crazy.
I was randomly looking at Rico streaming DBFZ since I was bored and none of the SFV streamers that I like were on.
Saw this.
He seemed bewildered that Broly’s grab got stuffed by Bardock’s 2H. I don’t know a ton about the game, but thought it was interesting. Wonder if you guys know exactly what happened.
I miss when characters made other characters that were “busted” trash or just ok…
It looks like he did the light grab and was out of range.
Basically Rico screwed up.
Sometimes I can get a laugh out of people raging over this game. Knowing how I can be when it comes to this game, it’s always nice to see how it can affect others as well.
But man, after watching Sonic Sol’s stream last night, it just wasn’t funny to me. You can tell the dude genuinely wants to get better. He just sounded so demoralized and defeated. While he continued to play, the man was just tilted to the point of no return. Even his entire voice changed. If he didn’t have the camera on, you would’ve thought it was a different person.
Funny thing is that this type of reaction isn’t exclusive to him. I’ve seen prominent streamers reach a point where they just get lost in their salt. All I could tell him was I know the feeling. He’s a really smart guy so I hope he doesn’t give up on himself.
NO FUN ALLOWED
It’s not the fact that you lose that makes you salty, it’s how you lose.
For example, i never or very rarely have salt if i lose vs Sagat or Cammy. But if i lose to characters like Mika the salt will flow for sure.
SFV does a good job making you feel like shit when you lose but if you win it’s mostly “meh ok i won”. At least that’s how it is for me.
I need that in my life. Season 4 everybody getting some jank.
Ps- not sure if anybody else here listens to podcasts or anything like that but yipes and Chris matrix are starting something. Ep1 up now https://youtu.be/5IlP94_rkP8
Yeah I’m not gonna watch Evo Japan anymore.
I just got done playing against an Ultra Diamond Blanka main in casuals and he didn’t even do the glitch. WTF.
Yeah I definitely don’t feel good when i win, its just sort of whatever. Not sure why that is though.
Just my opinion, but I feel like a lot of it has to do with how momentum based the game is when comebacks are basically meaningless. Like before if i ran a comeback on someone it was because I outplayed them (for the most part) and it was hype. Now if I run a comeback its not really special because VT, low chip with no deaths, etc make comebacks less impactful on top of everything being momentum based. If I Perfect someone all it really means is that I had momentum the whole game. Idk im rambling
^This
In SFV you can lose easily against someone who isn’t near your skill level because there’s few stuff to work around that. People are trying to outsmart the opponents while abusing the turn core of the game. I can understand people who hated OS,unlockables and high execution barriers, but that helped only the weaklings and Capcom stated this from the beginning.
Yeah its so easy to lose to people who are clearly not better than you. I know that sounds like scrub talk but in SFV it feels like a real thing.
That’s probably one reason ranked isn’t fun. Everyone is stressing over their points when the other guy can pop VT and erase your life lead.
You’d have to link his latest stream. Only stream I saw was from like 9 days ago.
Although I watched a bit of that and it seems like he’s taking shit from people way better than him also. Neon basically toyed with him to win the first match vs his G, then left him sitting on the rematch timer til 0 and left. Once you get into Diamond/Super Diamond that’s when ranked really starts. You gotta protect yourself from the crazy regular Diamonds and Super Plats who will claw and scratch for a win, then when you get up to Super Diamond plus you gotta get wins or possibly streaks on Master + level players.
Seems like he’s catching it from everywhere from what I watched.
I know Mailyn probably hates me by now because I haven’t dropped a game to him in like 3 sets in a row. Free Grand Master Laura points.
It’s no issue that they tried to make the casual player feel better, it’s a game after all,we play it for fun.
Thing is, SFV’s comebacks are not really comebacks ,they are mostly robbery because the way they are initiated.
Most start from random unsafe normal ( sweep ) or random unreactable EX special into trigger or from a tool that completely bypasses your spacing.
The attacker gains easy access to what the defender tried so hard to build. So yea, you feel bad because you outplay fools half the match only so they can gain the resource to shit on everything you did, and if you happen to play a character that can’t do that as well, tough shit bro.
I shall need to poke fun at Mailyn the next time I see him on Mhikes or PauloWeb’s streams about those free Grand Master Laura points.
So Evo Japan did it’s best Vegeta and snuffed out Guldo’s time freeze tech.
