SFV Lounge: Makoto is coming for sure. F2P definitely. RIP Pertho's doggy

Because fuck Cammy.

I’m not entirely joking either. Cammy was a very strong character at the time, so the idea of getting another may have provided that reaction.

Also as I said before. Capcom going “it’s not a doll” to “surprise it’s a doll”, was not going to produce a good reaction.

Not just that.

But since SF is allowed to make every bad decision in the book and it’s fanboys are willing to swallow it all up and take it with a grin, is everything ok.

So SFV is the real villain and Arcsys are the saviour of the FGC? Sounds about right. I’m not the biggest fan of SFV, but I love seeing the new blood in this game. People being excited to play it and get better. Lab monsters who come.up with new tech, and forums which are alive. Plus Capcom streams are always top notch.

At this point capcom needs to put in the characters that got the higher request from that poll they were doing and like 1 new character.

doing anything else would be silly.

I’m glad you’re hear in a pro Capcom forum keeping your hate 100. It brings me joy.

Naw, you save highest requests for the next title at this point. SFV is in it’s twilight years, game lifespans over 4 years aren’t common in this climate so SFV lasting this long is crazy.

Eh… I’m not sure that bears out.

Alpha 3, SF3, SFxT, HDR, and SFV out of the gate were certainly not met with the response you describe.

Dang I didn’t realize makoto was # 2

So yeah even more so

Nah, you put them in now get more sales, and include them in the next title at launch and get return sales.

Thats why half this forum constantly shits on this game.

It sure is pro.

I’m fine with no new characters (sad for Mak tho but at least she would have an higher chance of being in SFVI), the cast is already big enough, I would like some more balance patches though

Don’t think that’s entirely true. But ok.

Hype building on character anticipation is definitely one of the biggest selling points when it comes to fighting games, NRS do a very good job of handling gap years of characters and adding them at the right times.

Let’s say, Makoto was added in SFV and was incredibly disappointing, just on a “what if” scenario. If you saw Makoto then revealed say - one year later for an SFVI trailer, it wouldn’t be as shocking,
less wow factor. Because you currently have access to her on the latest installment already.

It’s definitely something developers take into consideration, and would be my biggest guess as to why certain characters who are popular haven’t appeared yet - Fei Long, Honda, T.Hawk, Makoto, Dudley etc.

… I don’t think that’s why T Hawk hasn’t appeared…

Not what I was implying.

T Hawk is a character that you really can’t have nowadays without inviting a problem (not judging, just stating why I think he’s basically gone forever).

who thE FUCK IS MOUTHING T HAWK I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU

Yeah at this point i think most of these highly requested characters are probably locks for launch SF6’s roster.

I don’t expect to see Vega in SF6 :disappointed:

T.Hawk is a weird Gief.
He should be brought back in for SFV along with Hakan for sure.

no Vega would be weird, then again no Balrog was weird.

Vega is probably the least favourite original King at this point, so yeah maybe. His design is very unique though so I hope they revert him back to his old design and do away with the stance shit.
