But since SF is allowed to make every bad decision in the book and it’s fanboys are willing to swallow it all up and take it with a grin, is everything ok.
So SFV is the real villain and Arcsys are the saviour of the FGC? Sounds about right. I’m not the biggest fan of SFV, but I love seeing the new blood in this game. People being excited to play it and get better. Lab monsters who come.up with new tech, and forums which are alive. Plus Capcom streams are always top notch.
Naw, you save highest requests for the next title at this point. SFV is in it’s twilight years, game lifespans over 4 years aren’t common in this climate so SFV lasting this long is crazy.
I’m fine with no new characters (sad for Mak tho but at least she would have an higher chance of being in SFVI), the cast is already big enough, I would like some more balance patches though
Hype building on character anticipation is definitely one of the biggest selling points when it comes to fighting games, NRS do a very good job of handling gap years of characters and adding them at the right times.
Let’s say, Makoto was added in SFV and was incredibly disappointing, just on a “what if” scenario. If you saw Makoto then revealed say - one year later for an SFVI trailer, it wouldn’t be as shocking,
less wow factor. Because you currently have access to her on the latest installment already.
It’s definitely something developers take into consideration, and would be my biggest guess as to why certain characters who are popular haven’t appeared yet - Fei Long, Honda, T.Hawk, Makoto, Dudley etc.
T Hawk is a character that you really can’t have nowadays without inviting a problem (not judging, just stating why I think he’s basically gone forever).
no Vega would be weird, then again no Balrog was weird.
Vega is probably the least favourite original King at this point, so yeah maybe. His design is very unique though so I hope they revert him back to his old design and do away with the stance shit.
