Think I was the only one hype over KBR’s team locally. Fuck the haters, he grinded all that shit by himself. If you work hard, you can do it. 
combination of both. The best part is that characters had a lot of tools, even the mid to low tier ones. The bad part is how silly the game was with damage and conversions. Any random hit could kill you for no reason. It also kind of lets you know how important the Captain Commando assist is in keeping MvC2 honest with Magneto being able to fly with impunity.

“Give tools like Hulk 5H or DP to any other character and they would be crazy broken. The only thing keeping it even a little sane was that they were attached to hulk.”
The only move even close in terms of, “fuck literally everything you are doing” is EX seismo. And it ain’t that much better even.

I Mained ibuki in sf4. I never found gief to be much of a problem for her.
I’m reminded that when I first got to AU, the best marvel player out here, who destroyed me at marvel… sat down next to me at the arcade AE machine while I was running off a random winstreak… and picked gief… then smiled at me like he was gonna teach me what’s what… beat him so bad he wouldn’t get off the machine and 3-0d that ass. After that I gave him a nice wink and he was livid.
Ibuki had some decent fundamentals in sf4. Her cr.mk was very high priority and she could play akuma air fireball games with her kunai, plus her AA was pretty stellar.
My biggest problem matchups were all the divekickers, Chun, dictator, and gouken.

How was gouken a problem?
Couldnt you slide under his straight fireball? After that he seemed free to kunai mix ups.
No fireball, no old man fundamentals.
Need that projectile keepaway. Other wise it’s just walking around pressing buttons like sf4 cr.mk ryu players.
One of the things I do like about SFV over SF4 is that no character can loop into ambiguous jump ins that avoids DP’s. Practically everyone could do it from there throw, but then you had characters like Ibuki, Cammy, or Viper that can loop you into the same situation with their combo enders. And they’re basically telling you that you can only guess because mashing DP isn’t even an option.
I guess that’s why you put down characters like Chun, Dictator, and Gouken because they had moves that ignored the ambiguous stuff and would hit you or get them out of trouble if you went for it.

Gouken suffered vs rushdown but a lot of Ibuki’s bullshit from SF4 didn’t work on him because the old man’s EX Kongo or even regular hp kongo nullified a lot of her air gimmiks.
