Capcom is going to remaster SF4 with the unreal engine, I can feel it…
that’d be hella weird. that and they’d have to create brand new models for all that nonsense.
Although if we get the game with the buffer, might actually be able to play more than 0 characters. Although then all the scrubs would have Evil Ryu stomp combos.

Ricki Ortiz says even now that Elena is stupid AF. The few times Justin enters a tourney he still runs shit with Elena.
Japanese SFIV tourneys are doable to watch since they mix characters up, but if you enter them all in like a double elim tourney the best Elena most likely gets really lame.

Ibuki and Elena weren’t that good at the end of SFIII’s life span right? At least they both got a chance to be “top tier” Bring ELENA BACK and have Makoto be her assist.

And the funny thing is that I feel the same way despite being thirsty as fuck during S1/2. I think it’s because I got my character and I’m not soul searching on some Mike Ross shit. I’m happy with where the game is at and I’m having fun even when I tilt.
NCK is basically on life support because it’s been like 4 years and he still don’t have his bae. And she’ll still have a minus 30 commad grab and -9 ex punch and even slower walk speed.

I remember reading tier lists for SFIV on SRK and Ibuki was always the theory top tier that just required too much work to be shown reflective at tourneys. Might have been probably true, but Gief was decent and any SF where Gief is decent is problems for Ibuki. On top of that the game had enough characters that were about as good as Ibuki for less effort.
SFIV is such a manual game as it is that it doesn’t really pay to play an extra manual character. Ibuki’s reward for her shit would have to be beyond E.Ryu’s or Yun’s to make it worth bothering and it’s not.
No. But that describe most fighting games.
Just like SF2, 3 & 5, when things got dumb in SF4, they got hella dumb.
As always, I still dislike SF4 as I think the game was a fucking mess… but despite my opinion many people liked it, and it would be impossible for me to say the game had no value.
That doesn’t describe a whole lot of fighting games at all.
Also this came up. Shotouts to KBR for optimizing the hell out of his own team. People hating on something he worked super hard on without really having a scene.

Oh I am. Definitely Karakusa will be minus 60 and everything else unsafe, but you know what? I’ve already drove that Lamborghini without brakes and that shit was helluva fun. None of the actual characters make me rock hard like that, so with me Capcom failed, period.
Anyone has any idea if there are vods available of the USFIV tourney of EVO Japan? According to E-hubs a Bison player won, so I am interested to watch the top 8.
I kinda checked out of MvC3 when KBR rose to prominence… but really? His team is pure genius, and I love the fact that it works as well as it does. That’s a testimony to the best qualities of that game, not the worst.
… also, I remember saying many time that hulk was pretty good…
