Yeah the numbers will add up, but Tokido thinks people will just stop throwing him because he’s got Akuma with EX bars and full VT. He would have had to use the numbers because Powell wasn’t caring about numbers or bars.

Its the psychological aspect of fighting game. Yeah, being okay by the numbers is all fine and great, everybody can pat yourselves in the back about it. But what happened to him is above that area of the game. Get too stuck on the technical end of things and you forget that you can create situations like that.
Kind of reminds me of a time I won a game by doing wake up walk up forward and throw. Did it against a Zangief player too. Looking at all the frame data in the world won’t help you look at a situation and see that as a possible solution to it.
Sometimes life be like that in the fight game. But it helps if you look at certain things. Also,
The worst that can happen from a counterhit st.mp at that distance is probably nothing. The only thing sh can link from there is a hk DP and literally nobody does that. Hell I don’t think most Cammy players know they can do that TBH. So most of what I said stands until y’all training mode it.

she used to be able to get closer and do stmp > crmk, but with the nerf she gets jack shit from it.
You commit to stmp xx store, but sometimes the store can whiff if they walk back. It’s a terrible meaty now.

Yeah Cammy can walk forward and sthp and beat 3 frame normals (and still be in range they’ll block it) after a forward throw in the corner. And she can one-hit confirm off of her sthp (though it’s one of the more difficult ones…like Juri’s crmk).
She can also walk forward stmp to beat 3 framers, but it’ll whiff if they don’t press anything and only links into LK Spiral Arrow on counter-hit
Probably was just sure that Cammy wouldn’t go for 4 in a row…and was wrong. I can understand him not wanting to press something and die faster. After that first throw in the clip, if the Cammy had done walk forward sthp (ohc) xx HK DP xx Super (she would have built enough meter from the sthp xx HK DP hitting), Akuma would have died outright.
