You realise CS:GO events run CS:GO and only CS:GO yeah? So you trying to compare an event exclusive to a franchise as opposed to events accepting franchises within a genre is fucking stupid right?
It’s funnier because most if not all CS:GO events are franchises now and you need a fucking corporation and valid team to get into them, nice comparison you fucking gimp.
When you say “it’s not a fighting game” you should be saying “I don’t think it’s a fighting game because I don’t like it.” Like imagine actively tryna fuck up other peoples leisure time on a weekend cause you don’t like another fighting game.
Btw nah you fully left because people were flaming the fuck out of you, you thought all meaties gave +1 and couldn’t do basic math and you’re a teacher. Shit was hilarious. Keep being an A grade retard. Or by some hilarious chance you made the decision we weren’t worth your time as soon as we started taking the piss out of you.
I was talking to a co-worker the other day about random video game shit and he said something that never really occurred to me but probably should have. He’s 26, and because of when he grew up, Smash is what comes to mind when he thinks of fighting games.
I’m not saying its right, wrong, or otherwise, but that really made an impression on me. When I hear “fighting games” I think of two life bars, 2/3 rounds, 99 seconds, and maybe a super meter. But that is because of when I grew up. There is probably an entire generation - or at least a portion of one - who have the same experience as him.
CSGO players are bitching on Twitter because Sonicfox won best eSports player of the year, and they’re saying their players are more deserving of the title…
People here are bitching that Smash isn’t a fighting game and doesn’t deserve to be at FGC tournaments…
This game’s the best… That game’s whack…
Who gives an honest fuck? Be happy that video games are a strong market and there’s something for everyone. Bitching about another scene/game isn’t going to make your scene/game stronger, it’s only going to make the players in them seem like bitches.
Nah I get what you mean. This is also anecdotal AF but when I troll around Reddit for non fighting game related stuff like League of Legends, Overwatch or Magic the Gathering Online and talk about how so and so game or so and so characters would be cool in a fighting game, my idea of a ‘fighter’ and the others who don’t really play fighters differs a lot.
For instance when I say League of Legends or Magic the Gathering could be cool fighting games, the people who respond to me always mention Smash, or Arena fighters like Powerstone or something. I just think Smash is what a lot of people think constitutes as a “fighting game” which is pretty interesting.
