I’ve found only the FM solution available.

You can buy him. Just select the option that says buy battle costume with colors 3 through 10. The first option is FM only with no battle costume or colors.

Ok, thanks. Let’s check this Evil Ryu-Oni fusion.

My argument would be that early in the game we didn’t know the meta so it makes sense to patch less in the first year or so. I’ll give you that. But now the cycle of figuring things out happens much faster.

Also i dont think every patch needs to be a giant shake up or complete rebalancing. Addressing obvious issues only is also acceptable.

What does happen in regard to opinions on balance is that a large part of the community figures things out very slowly or they just copy the opinions of a misinformed top player.

Anyways I’ll drop it. Seems like most of you are in favor of twice a year. I understand why you feel that way. I just think it sucks when you know certain characters are dog shit terrible or obviously too strong and everyone just has to hold it for 9 months and hope that it gets corrected. Then it doesn’t and its the same thing for 2 years.

I feel like it would be much more modern to just look at things like characters still having psuedo throw loops or functional AA jabs, things that the devs specifically targeted, and adjusting the game accordingly.

What you’re looking for can be attained whether you do 7 patches or 2 patches.

Volume of patches especially in fighting games doesn’t really equal better game or better experience. If you have 3 patches, that 3rd patch could be the one that makes Ryu’s timer shorter and then you’re back to complaining. Does Ryu need more chances to get backwards balancing? Not really.

Basically we need less S3 Zangief patches and more S3/4 Sakura patches. If the game is as easy to figure out as you say then why need more chances to figure it out? If it’s that easy it can be done in 2 per year. They just need to make better choices when the time comes.

The company isn’t vocal enough with the players to risk multiple chances of them to mess with the game in the way they want. This comes back to fighting games being better as a let it rock scenario so Rashid doesn’t get all of his shit reverted in a 3rd/4th/5th patch for the year. Multiple patches throughout the year also constitutes waiting for Ono to fix your character and that won’t get you off your ass and getting better at the game or the decisions you make.

The one favourable aspect of slow paced patching means that if you clock onto the fact your character is going to be bad as it rolls out, you can just switch and you have an entire year of whoever your new character is.

As an example, if you still play Juri after this patch you’re a dummy.

Yeah I’ve been laughing at seeing Ed players go crazy over the ability to checks notes…whiff punish and counter-hit combo without the ender dropping

Ed was a mistake

Gotta work on those spelling errors

Hey we take what we can get alright

Noted strong and popular character(especially considering his not-popular archetype) Abigail has done well for himself on multiple levels.

What has ed done!!!

More frequent patches would change almost nothing balance wise. There is no reason Ryu couldn’t have gotten what he has now 1, 2, or even 3 patches ago. It’s just that Capcom finally decided he should be playable.

Shit characters would still be shit, just that low tier mains would experience the disappointment of no buffs more often.

Fighting games that have adopted that patching method would tell you otherwise. Just use history as reference to why more frequent patching is a bad idea.
