Im starting to wonder if I even want Rose in s4 or s5. I think it may be too late for me, especially if her inclusion in the last 2 seasons guarantees her missing the SF6 launch roster. Iâd rather she be there from the start

I started Diamond before Cody came out. Playing him exclusively I dropped to 8k. Iâm currently at Diamond over 15k . One of the best moments in fighting games is when everything just clicks.

So Sakurai is apparently an OG after all. Played SF2 and KOF '95 back in the day.
Therefore Smash is also fighting game, checkmate bitches
âŚit explains a lot too. Smash also has short hops, guard breaks, perfect guard, running, rolls and dodges. And like how Smash is a crossover of all of Nintendoâs stuff, KOF was kinda like a crossover of SNKs stuff. Interesting. 
Now we just need Terry Bogard in Smash

He decided to go the whole set with me when I played Ibuki vs him a few months ago. He was on stream that time and I remember watching over it. First match he was like âyeah look at this guy not blocking, taking these frame trapsâ. Then next match I beat him and he was like âwhooooa, im getting washedâ lool. He got me last match but kept it pretty competitive.
Felt like Sakura beat Alex when I played her. St.lk whiff punish everything, rush him down.
Never played the match but Iâd imagine Sagat will blow up Sakura hard. Just theory fighter in my head.
Alex vs Sakura would def be a match where youâre playing mostly to hit s.LK to catch his stuff and carry to the corner. All of your other buttons are shorter and less damaging than his so not worth playing with the other ones unless you catch a big whiff or know you can force a counter poke with one. If you can push him to the corner can go to town, but like Highland said youâre going to be using s.LK a lot. Which means preferably get to VT2 as far as you can so your s.LK can be a huge damage dump instead of just a bit of corner push with no real oki.
I think Sakura will do alright vs Sagat. I believe itâs like Chun vs Sagat but with some slight differences in how Sak navigates the fireballs. Sagat is not one of those characters who can alter his jump arc or has any downward angle air buttons so c.HP and LP DP will anti air him if he loses a life lead and decides to jump to harass you into damage.
Sakura has great forward walk and can scare Sagat from throwing low shots as any read to HK tatsu over a lot shot will give her either a landed hit to start a frame trap game he doesnât wanna deal with or at worst minus 2 and still close in. HK tatsu is pretty much a grounded version of Chunâs V Skill for getting in. EX DP/shou can clip the hurt box of tiger shots as she moves in from a pretty solid range. If she lands one of those sheâs pushing Sagat near the corner and then itâs problems. Like Chun, itâll definitely be a comfortable match for Sagat, but Sakura can easily bulldog Sagat into a bad shot.
Another thing I found. Thereâs also a sweet spot in the middle of the screen where if Sagat throws a low shot, Sakâs EX tatsu will hop over the low shot and hit Sagat. Forcing him to near the corner with at least a free heavy meaty or walk up and threaten after. If Sakura has meter from that range she can threaten EX tatsu and then if she gets in a bit closer than that, EX dp becomes a problem.
