Did Bonchan miss a few DP’s or was he being greedy and wanted CC st. HK into DP? I know he’s been looking for those opportunities during matches.

I literally just said a couple hours ago you have to be aggressive vs boxer. -_- And thats not sagat’s strength at all. One people learn that sagats fastest button is 4 frames and his mediums are like 6-11 frame startup they are really going to bully the dude. (why is cr mk 10 frames smh)
Right now sagat is getting away with alot, at the same time once sagats get more comfortable with spacing, shots, and normals it’s going to be a pain.
Bonchan is leagues ahead of most sagat players now. He’s adapted really well. Props to him.
The start up on his normals are insane, and that’s why I don’t like to compare him to guile. Guile can play defensively and offensively very well. Sagat does one thing well. Zone.
When guile has normals that beats lows and throws, move you forward and projectiles that start up faster than your fireball, is plus on block and has same about of recovery as your ex shots…
You aren’t playing the same type of game. Guile can fight from anywhere on the screen, comfortably.
Sagat is more akin to menat (with the orb) than guile.

It’s less about Bonchan having adapted than a return to common territory. He plays very similar to how he did in SFIV, and in many ways I’d argue USFIV Sagat was worse than current SFV Sagat.

Gamerbee also streamed himself playing Sagat. I think he started with a new account to Platinum before stopping because now he’s just talking.
I didn’t hear him say Sagat sucks but when someone asked if Sagat was top tier in English he answered in English and shot it down quickly. Even laughing like he was thinking “did you seriously ask me that?” lol.
It’s so weird being such a low level player and hearing top players say this and that about X character. it’s like, I don’t have the clout to really weigh in on if an character is good or not because I just don’t have the fighting game theory think down. When I play a game I have a tendency to play on reactions and feelings.
Like I know what makes a top character good but if you gave Fang and 3f just because Cammy has one doesn’t mean he’ll be top since you know… Guile doesn’t have one. And the funny thing is that out the gate everyone said Guile was trash and same goes for Akuma. Every top player was like “well they can’t do X thing so they shit”
Whether or not you can attribute their tier jumps to global changes or buffs these character are now sitting in like the top 1-5 slots and show no signs of being dethroned.
I don’t want to say Sagat is TT because I’m fucking garbage and don’t have a true understanding of what makes a character well rounded.
Guile has no 3f but has some of the best neutral control tools in the game. He can play offensive and defensive. He’s got enough depth to allow for swag and a basic enough game plan that you can have the most un-optimized Guile and still get to base diamond with only flash kick and sonic boom.
Menat has a 3f but has one of the most unique fighting styles in the game. She’s basically Sim but with more interesting space control. (Funnily enough she hasn’t really changed that much outside of getting one new special and even back before that people were saying she was annoying as fuck when she dropped.)

I just say fuck tier list now. Same stupid cycle no matter which game it is.
Pros say something is trash, then it’s actually good and back pedaling starts.
It ain’t just pros stuck on stupid either. Look at eventhubs. Those dumb fucks think Urien is top 5 and Nash is 18th on list.
Just play what you want, Bison won Evo.
