SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

As far as what Rog can do and how much it hurts, yeah ST Rog is better but there’s arguably less you can do about SFV Rog’s offense and having dash lows that go into full combos is just crazy to keep people from walking. Being able to turn dash punches into sways to get around projectiles is really cheap too.

you do have a point

Now, now. Let’s not get too over carried! Maining Menat?
That is going too far!

I haven’t fully dropped him yet! And there is the whole emotional baggage of playing him for 25 years and stuff!
It is never nice to see him struggle that bad. :frowning:

That real Muay Thai getting up there and kicking. Daigo does the same things vs Rog players. He knows you can get through the booms so he’ll take it to you to get the life lead the offensive way.

Bonchan did some shit I didn’t even know you could do with the trigger so ill cap that.

VT2 IS KING, damn he had his DP stuffed 2 times also, wonder what Ver he was going for?

Can’t wait to see Bonchan rocking the king in tournament.

This is the King of Muay Thai evolved.

VT2 for sure now. Watching the guard crush and then feint into mix up.

Sagat’s overhead has so much wind up always makes it look like it should do 200 damage and CC on normal hit. Cracks me up.

An overhead elbow from a seven and a half tall dude should do 200 damage

New characters always have the benefit of unfamiliarity while the rest of the cast has the benefit of muscle memory from the people who main them. Once the adjustments are made on both sides I don’t really feel like Sagat is going to be that tough to deal with for most characters. He has a good fireball, but he doesn’t seem to have a bunch of the other stupid stuff to go along with it and make it even more potent or obnoxious like Guile. That’s way too important in a game with a bunch of easy anti-fireball shit like SFV imo. Also they really could speed up some of his buttons. Balance aside, it’s just silly how slow some of his normals are.

He was just late in the motion

Yeah I realized I got a bit excited. The animation made it looked like he could cancel the start up of the guard crush and go overhead. So it’s just a very animated overhead. That’s cool though because when you’re sitting there vs his guard crush VT2 if you dont got an EX DP you’re probably too worried about that guard crush to think his long overhead is coming.

So basically the plan against Boxer is to take the fight to him? Yeah, I don’t think that’s sustainable. Don’t get me wrong, Sagat has a few good pokes to help up close and in footsie range like st.LK and st.MK, but I don’t see that shutting down Rog in the long run.

Great display from Bonchan though.

Well, that’s the nature of shitty matchups. If you’re sure to lose long-term with your regular gameplan, you need to kill the opponent before they can get started.

Can we talk about G and how he is a simple but bizarre design which is what EXACTLY what this game needs, and how Gaaaarbage the lyrics are to his theme but the only satisfying thing about his trailer is when he says “light it up!”
