I don’t think people explored anything with Falke, there is nothing to explore lol. They are just using their kit better and that is natural as they are playing more with the character.
She isn’t a Cody or G or Blanka or someone who have some potential tech to discover. The character is very straight forward, for better or worse and that is fine.
Also again, we can’t judge anything on an online replay. One set or match is nothing. Remember when Infiltration bodied Daigo at EVO Japan and everyone was like OMG…It is a 3-7 MU, Guile can’t do anything. Then Daigo did his homework and beat Infiltration a lot since then and they now trade wins often, showing that it is possibly a 5-5 MU.
I am not hopeful for Falke, like Ed, I can’t see Capcom making an easy input character a top tier contender and am not sure if she should ?! but we will see.
Also, Tekken 7’s patchnotes are great. They took two full pages of Leo moves, and wrote “this move now has different properties when it hits” for all of them.
Thanks Namco, very helpful!
Alright, enough Tekken-ranting for the day. Feel free to go back to SFV
I’ve played the match up enough to say it’s about even. Akuma has the offense to keep things in his favor, but she can keep him from getting in and has a tool for all his tools. He cant just braindead aa her because of air fireball and dive which makes the threat of jump in combo into huge damage on him an issue. His low health and stun means that she can take a quick life lead and then taking one or 2 more combos from her means Akuma could die. It’s not like vs Rog or Alex where if you lose the life lead you have to scramble for a bunch of frame traps to get back in
They could make most of the cast good, they just don’t. Look at what they did to Ed. He was a super solid character in the Season 3 patch and then he got fucked over for no reason.
Its frustrating with this game. They’ve made it very clear that they are micromanaging everything. Because of that we can definitely blame a character being extra shitty on them. Odds are that they’re damn well aware how to make everybody “good”. They just won’t.
Larry said that a lot of the international community loved Final Round. It was the tournament that gave them that “at home” feeling from a lot of the other majors held in the US.
So no, I wouldn’t say its just good just for the US scene.
Maybe for those international players who get there -which is understandable- but there’s no ‘like at home’ feeling about FR here, isn’t exactly like EVO. Then there’s a lot of original EU tournaments who were taken down in honor of the CPT and no one in the US said shit so no, Larry is lying. Is just a good news, nothing more, nothing less.
I forgot all about Final Round, loved watching their events. I honestly can’t keep up with the new tournaments but I’m not complainin’ it’s good for the scene
Oh yeah Devil Jin, I’ve had enough…I’m going to start using Falke VT1 LOL I think I’ve enjoyed it enough…will try and find some VT1 shit later on youtube
edit: Wait now you guys are saying Falke is strong and good. Nope going back to VT2 :^)
