I donât feel insulted but I fear the day she gets her buffs for S4, possibly making her a straight up 7-3 in certain matchups and then people complaining about a character only six people played during S3.
People heard what pros like Xian and Infiltration said about her without taking a personal time with the character to value every ins & outs. When you donât play at least a top 10 character youâre dumb for them, they need OP shit or heavy gimmicks to justify using a character. Yâall know how many Necalli were on Blankaâs jock on release? Almost all of them. They all dump him when they understood that shine with Blanka required work and commitment without the warranty of the same results with Necalli. Iâve learned that Zeku wasnât strong as Karin after few hours with him, but I didnât look back anyway and so few others. One of us won a CPT tournament, another one showed up big in a stacked top 8 and now people are trying to learn what the character does being surprised by things known since day one. People are like a flock of sheep, they all waiting for pros to tell them which character use, why and how.

And you know what? Itâs going to happen. Big part of the community just didnât spend time on learning Falke without realizing she need few buffs to skyrocketing in the tier list. Falke could be a Menat with good offense + a reversal without relying on VT, then people will jump on her train at lightspeed. I lived the same situation with Makoto in SSF4 where everybody said she was bottom tier. Well, all the work and time Iâve invested into her paid off big AE 'til the end of the game with countless hatemails and people screaming and crying on the mic (real story).
Falke out neutrals Akuma. He doesnât have any random dash along the ground shit that beats her air shit and she can just EX PP ex demon flip body filp shit on reaction. Itâs arguable that Ken does better vs her since he has run to go under air shit and has better corner carry. Akuma players have to work hard to beat me and thatâs one of the characters where I can definitely beat Grand/Ulti Grand Akumas by just playing solidly for the most part.

Zeku is honest now, but he can deliver a shitload of damage/stun in an heartbeat, whoever got Zeku 'ed knows well. Some people canât learn until you destroy them.
Yeah, I started to notice that after fighting many Akumas in casuals with her.
I was able to corner and ground an UGM Akuma player with her thanks to that. He canât demon flip freely, he canât jump freely against her and you can dash under his air fireball or microwalk and PP him out of the sky.
It doesnât feel like he has any serious advantage against her.

The CCs make zero sense. Zero. You have about 4 states and which one you get depends if youâre top tier. Like imagine Akumas cr.fierce goes from crumple to spin away. Thatâs a completely different scenario now. Same with Rashid , if itâs the spin state then maybe he gets an eagle spike thatâs a tightish link or something.
I think Sakuraâs is about as powerful as youd want, dash up light combo into mediocre Oki.
I got no problem with somebody doing a 250-300 damage combo off a frame trap, but fuck this whole - decided to play mid range , got obliterated by spam - sends a man wild.

I have returned from the Atlantic northeast, slightly fatter and with more maple syrup than when I left. Playing some battle lounge sets against randoms and it seems like 9 days on a boat did me some meditative good and I didnât rust up too much. Mechanically I still have plenty to work on but a few concepts percolated up into actual matches which was cool. Looking forward to getting back into it now that weâre settled in.
Did I miss anything cool? Saw that Fuudo finally managed to take the top spot in an event, AngryBird Zekuâd some people, and Cammy got some chaps, but that is about all Iâve seen quick scanning the news.

The new wave is doing a +oB CC into EX +oB lightspeed move right after. I was used to that from Uriens, but becomes a âlegitâ tool even for Rogs and Bisons.

I really need to know whatâs the sense of commitment for Capcom when they presented SFV, because thereâs zero risk in going dumb like that. Zero. This shit need to go before the game becomes a dumb vs dumb challenge in the neutral. Not everything need to be unsafe, but now we are at the other end of the spectrum now.
Thatâs pretty much about it along with Punk winning Summer Jam with Karin. Rumors about next season of SFV getting Alpha custom combo shit and combo breakers, but just rumors.
Oh yeah I read those âleaksâ. Some of them seem likely - adding in second CAs seems inevitable - but the combo breaker shit seems way too out there. This game does have some strands of Alpha DNA floating around in it though so I keep waiting for them to add some truly zany mechanic one of these years.
Good shit on Punk winning with Karin. Sometimes the best answer is just to nut up and grind out the seasonal differences. She seems to be his bae.
Funny thing is Alioune said he would get back into the game if custom combos got in because that would give him more older SF stuff to mess with. Heavy CCâs into CCs sounds good.
Am I alone in wanting Alpha 3âs air and ground recoveries? Even if it was locked behind V-gauge? You could recover from CCs.
So I just played Tekken against this dude whoâs not particularly good. I beat him badly with my P2 Leo, and feel sorry for the guy, so I switch to my pretty horrible P2 Kazuya, and keep beating him, though I loudly lament my dropped electrics.
The dude then switches to Kaz, drops more electrics than me, still loses, and then goes âyeah good youâre not playing Kaz in tourney next week, your electrics are sloppy :pâ, before starting to school me on how important it is to practice on both sides.
This dude also brags about how he can effortlessly get any character to green ranks (the Tekken equivalent of Ultra Bronze).
