He plays so clean - no ex DF at all, so he always has CA.
No demon setups, but he is already doing corner specific, advanced combos.

Risky though, I tried that a couple of times and got air-to-aired. Sagat jHK is painfully slow.

Because Akuma is the OP Shoto with BS/robbery when needed, that’s why.
Momochi was the first best Akuma during SF4 Vanilla before Tokido, so no wonder he knows how to control the Demon. He’s too damn good at footsies so choosing Akuma instead of Ken becomes natural. Will see if Akuma he’s just his pocket character, sure thing an angry Momochi is scary, ask Fujimura for that

Potentially she get conversions from any reasonable range with the all Kunai launch. +EX Raids iirc. Jin is right, going for A2A is the only solution to avoid the guessing after a blocked EX Kunai. Sagat j.HK could be good to hit Ibuki on recovery, if you aren’t sure about her intentions then go for your best A2A, dunno specifically what’s Sagat best one, but in general lights are good for these situations.
He is great at footsies, but this is sfv, not even momochi can play footsies and aa.
He chose to focus on footsies and not aa with character which has great aa buttons and srk.
And I think that he deserved to win, cos his play was a lot closer to what most people say they miss in sfv.
You can still play footsies in SFV, all depends on how you play and which character you use, Momochi already shows that, but even Tokido,Punk,etc. Probably he’s not totally used to SFV Akuma AAs, just that. Momochi played ALWAYS SF in that way, today he does that with the best character in the game hands down.

Forgot to mention that his dps were beaten by jumpins a few times. Not sure if it was related to timing or incorect version of dp being used.
I did not say that akuma is not the best. He might be, if not he is second or third for sure.

Sagat’s aa jab is dumb lol. Am I tripping? It feels like Necalli S1.
Anyone who is tall and can do an AA jab is going to have a pretty free AA jab. Those are basically the best ones you can have. 4/5 frame start up AA that you can use before they even reach the top of their jump (and fast enough to use preemptively if close enough before they jump).
I think other than not being able to rapid fire it quite as fast as Abi or Necalli it’s basically up there with the best AA jabs. If you’re jumping at a tall character you deserve to get AA’d. Just stop being a mexican jump bean.

I dunno, I felt Karin had a better AA jab in s1 than Sagat has now. It’s good and has its uses, but it’s not really great. It loses quite often to downward angled jump-ins, so you really don’t want to rely on it.
Was testing it against Bison and it lost free. But against Ryu, Rashid and Ken it was super effective.
Ryu and Rashid j.HP tend to beat it from my experience. Either it’s the angle people use those jump-ins from that ruins it for me, or I’m mistiming it horribly.
When was it roughly that we got the Season 2 and 3 changes / rosters announced?

China need to fill Capcom wallet with many Benji’s if they want to host a CPT event ever again, not only for the rigged brackets or awful streaming, but even for the silly rules players have to follow to play there ( some costumes banned, tattoos covered and playing on PC).
