G is probably the coolest original character theyve put into this game. capcom can make cool looking characters but sometimes they fall flat like falke or kolin. I still want dudley or a rekka character tho watching an old SF4 match posted earlier made hella nostalgic

That’s what makes me chuckle man. People bitch about characters being weak or limited. A character releases that isn’t and people want them nerfed. Which they’ll then bitch about as well. No win situation.

G does what G does, I’d rather fight G’s all day over mika’s and birdies and laura’s.

Sure went he starts rolling its dangerous but it still feels more like streetfighter than whatever mika and laura do…

Laura is trash now though. She wishes she was on Mika/birdie level.

Edit: well she might still be dumb. Playing Balrog I had to study the hell out of grappler matchups.

I will say it seems like people that use hitbox do much better with him. Its crazy how much well he works with hitbox as oppose to ryu.

He still needs some QOL changes and slight buffs… I really want to know what they are going to do with season 4 changes.

If akuma and cammy pretty much stay unchanged that tells me that capcom literally has certain tiers they want certain characters to hang around at.

Its not even about being trash though. Shes not top, but if tokido lost to a random Laura player it wouldn’t be some huge shock, same with alex or any of those once i knock you down “anything can happen” characters

IMO characters like Laura, Alex, Fang and Vega win off matchup knowledge alone.

I thought Alex v Sakura was terrible till I realized I could punish a bunch of shit with st. Lk.

Capcom shouldn’t nerf characters because they are good or optimal. I’d be disappointed in them if they outright nerf these two due to demand. Tokido’s Akuma - The Akuma to measure all other Akumas against - just lost Evo to a Mid tier character 3-0 and yes he was familiar with the match up.

A character being frustrating to deal with isn’t on its own an argument against that character.

Buff the biggest losers, and at worst if anything, berf the high tiers to finetune their risk/reward ratios.

I agree with your post, but I don’t think he was that familiar with the matchup.
I’ve played against Problem online several times (won just once I think) and was not hit with some stupid things Tokido was

Tokido was punishing things that he could only punish if he knew the match up. Problem X himself has stated that Tokido knew the match up. We are in year 3 of a vanilla character (there are many OP Bisons in Japan). He just got outplayed fair and square that day.

This is going to sound counterintuitive but knowing the match up doesn’t actually help that much against the basic Bison stuff. It just lets you know who silly a lot of the stuff he does is.

Edit: this isn’t really a comment on Problem X’s ability as a player.

Oh really? Flash news, they did it every season already. Cammy and Akuma are top 5 with the latter being the best one in the game, outside being strong by design I doubt Capcom is able to buff everyone else to their level, if that was possible we would have seen that after Season 1. Cammy and Akuma are frustrating for +20 characters in the game, I think that’s an argument about their abilities.

They’ve already ‘berfed’ Cammy and Akuma, I can add even Guile to that list. Guess what? They’re still stronger than the rest.
